22 Chapter 22

Enzo with heavy breathing due to the wound that he received in the chest still gathered enough strength to punch Kuma in the back.

BANG!

Suddenly Kuma was hit in the back by a powerful force that caused him to be propelled a few meters away into a building, the building soon collapsed on top of him.

"ah...ah....ah...", Enzo immediately fell into his one knee due to the pain in his chest.

Soon afterward, Kuma came out of the rubble, sparks would on occasion be released from Kuma's back as he walks towards Enzo.

"...ah....damn it....Maybe it was too optimistic of me to consider that you would be defeated by that punch, huh", Enzo said as he prepared himself to fight Kuma.

"Enzo Lockhart, I was sent by Fleet Admiral Sengoku to help you. Why would you attack me? I'm pretty sure that that two of us have no previous grievances", Kuma said calmly as if he wasn't just attacked by Enzo a while ago.

"Huh!, Thanks for the help, I guess but a pirate like you is something I can't allow to live", Enzo said with a smirk on his face.

"Oh, I see. You hate pirates in general", Kuma responded.

"ICE SCULPTURE BARRAGE", Enzo said as he fired multiple ice projectiles towards Kuma.

"THRUST PAD CANNON", Kuma said as he fired multiple paw air prints at Enzo's attack.

"BANG! BANG! BANG!BANG! BANG! BANG!BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!"

Both attacks collided in mid-air. Enzo's ice projectiles would transform Kuma's air prints into ice sculptures and they would soon explode in the air, causing a stalemate between both attacks.

"Tell me, Lockhart, why do you hate pirates?", Kuma said breaking the stalemate.

"What's not to hate", Enzo said.

"...I could understand that", Kuma said as he disappeared from his position.

Enzo who could barely keep up with Kuma using his Observation Haki was too late to realize that Kuma was behind him. A paw air print hit him in the back causing him to cough blood and he was soon propelled to the few standing buildings.

"We are even now", Kuma stated.

"...damn...it...ah...ah..(coughing blood)", Enzo said as he stood up from the wreckage of the destroyed buildings.

"Enough fighting, Sengoku is waiting for you in Marineford, he wishes to speak with you personally", Kuma stated.

Enzo spits blood in the ground and he said, "I ain't going with you".

"So be it", Kuma said as he once again disappeared from his position. This time Enzo saw Kuma with his Observation Haki, another clear indication that he was improving but his body was too wounded to react and he could not stop Kuma's hand from hitting him. Seeing this Enzo was angry at himself for being too weak to not just stopped Kuma, but also needing his help to save him from Jack.

"SWISH"

Enzo soon disappeared from his position leaving Kuma standing alone.

"What just happened?", Kuma said as he looks at his hand. He wanted to teleport Enzo straight to Marineford but at the last moment, something happened to his technique. There was a disruption in his teleportation which led Enzo to not be teleported into Marineford but somewhere else. This baffled Kuma cause something like this had never happened before.

Suddenly Kuma heard a sound not far from where he was standing.

"AH!"

Out in the pile of stones came out Jack. He looks at his surroundings and notices that Enzo was gone.

"Where is he? Kuma!", Jack said with anger in his voice.

"I don't know", Kuma said as he took out two gloves from his suit pockets and he wears them in his hands.

Jack snorted and decided to not engage Kuma. For him fighting Kuma was a worthless endeavor.

Kuma then just leaves the town and the island using his own method while leaving the marines to handled an enrage Jack for capturing his crew. This event led to Akehende losing one of his limbs just to survive the wrath of an angry Jack. Akehende silently cursed both Sengoku and Kuma, Sengoku for assigning him the suicide mission and Kuma for leaving them in the hands of Jack.

Meanwhile, Enzo had once again found himself in a dark space but this time he was unconscious to even realize that he was in it. Slowly his body was healing at a rapid pace until eventually, he was at his peak condition. But that did not end there, something was happening to his body, he was becoming younger. It only stopped when he reached the height of an average teenage kid. Suddenly a portal was open and he was sucked into it.

"ENTERTAIN ME, BOY! HAHAHAHAHAHA", said a voice in the void.

Meanwhile in Marineford:

Inside the Fleet Admiral's office, were Garp, who just arrived and was told the situation, with him were Aokiji, Kuma, and Sengoku himself. Kuma who just recently returned to Marineford just told the people in the room what happened.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!", the Hero of the Marines, Monkey D. Garp was laughing so hard that tears would occasion fall from his eyes.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIS GONE?!", Sengoku said with anger in his voice.

"He vanished mid-fight, I tried to find him but to no avail", Kuma said. Kuma was lying so that the marines won't figure out what his other ability was.

"Ara, Ara..What a mess", Kuzan said as he places his eye mask on his face and began to sleep in his chair.

"Don't sleep Kuzan, I want you to find him! The tension in the New World had greatly increased because of him and now he's gone. I can't allow this", Sengoku said.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's just too funny. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA", Garp said as he continued laughing, this cause Sengoku to be more pissed and eventually kick everyone out of his office.

For a number of weeks, the Marines search everywhere for Enzo but they could not find or hear clues to where he was.
