17 Ellenia's Home

Her eyes started opening, everything was still blurry as Farah slowly carried herself out of bed. She was wearing a white dress. Her eyes wandered around and the place was simple, yet glamorous.

Her room was made out of stone with gems engraved in it. Her head suddenly then started hurting. She resist the pain when suddenly Ellenia entered the room.

"Stay in bed, my dear," Ellenia said and helped Farah.

"What happened to me?" Farah asked as she slowly fix herself.

"You have been penetrated with too much dark magic, you have to rest. Ysandria is now ruling all of Gazaria," Ellenia said as she use her magic, taking away Farah's pain.

"Great, that's a nice way of giving me news to feel better," Farah said filled with sarcasm.

"I am already telling you everything so that you can process it all at once, sooner or later you'll have to know as well, better off telling you sooner," Ellenia replied. After she finished with her spell she sat beside Farah.

Ellenia took a deep breath and bitterly smiled at Farah, "you are the last Phoenix existing in this world."

A lone tear fell from Farah's eyes, she bit her lower lip. Her heart was shattered into pieces.

She failed, she lost everything.

"I failed didn't I?" she asked Ellenia with a bitter smile still painted in her lips.

"You were just like Gazaria," Ellenia began and messed Farah's hair.

"What do you mean?" Farah asked and slowly stood up.

"You see, everything that has happened right now, happened 500 years ago. Gazaria lost against Ysandria as well and he considered himself a failure after that. The same reason why I am here, to help you battle Ysandria once again," Ellenia said and a small smile painted in her lips.

"Even if I'll win again, what's the point, you already said it, I'm the last Phoenix," Farah replied and sighed.

"Come on, use your power and let's go outside," Ellenia said to Farah.

Curiosity filled her so she accessed the power she can call on, and she was surprised that she is already strong. Maybe because of Ellenia's healing.

As the two take their walk. Farah can't help but to think why she chose to save Oxoluz instead of saving her people. She asked herself on what really is she feeling for Oxoluz.

She gulped and erased it in her mind. She has to focus this time on the things she needs to focus on. Ellenia took her to a garden and a genuine smile finally painted in her lips for the first time.

The flowers in the garden were flowers that only blooms when different Phoenixes die. "How did you do this?" Farah asked Ellenia who smiled and used her magic.

The element of Air then created soft winds that played against the flowers, "when we left Gazaria, I used the power not just to save you, but to save every light energy I can track and here they are," Ellenia said and after doing so, she embraced Farah.

"Welcome to my home, Farah. The next thing we need to prepare for, is finding the lost ring of Redanza."
