Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Two

She studied the man's solid features, taking special notice of his total lack of empathy. Or maybe it was just her mind distorting her view of everything. Because Mr. Martinez's next words discredited every thought she had already formed in her heart about him. 

"You know," Louis said, finally taking his eyes off the park, "I looked you up as soon as I saw the news. You have a striking resemblance with your sister, with the delicate facial features and all," His eyes were roaming all over her face. "I liked Isabella from the very first moment I saw her. And you? Well, I'm just starting to get to know you."

Rachel made a face. She was not sure if she was listening to an eulogy or anything useful that could help her find her sister. 

An idea came to her mind and she voiced it out at once, "Did you mean it when you said you work with my sister?"

Louis nodded slowly.
