27 Are you ready?

His eyes look everywhere but at me. He doesn't want to be honest with me and that Is all i need right now. I stand in front of him waiting for him to open up but he doesn't say anything. 

"Lanis," I call his name. 

He sighs and I can see the frustration plastered on his face. The fact that he doesn't want to tell me what it is shows how serious this is. I heard their voices. They were trying to be quiet but it was very loud for me. They woke me up with their sounds and I overheard him. They know who killed my cousins but they don't want to tell me. 

He sighs and I watch him as he runs his hands through his hair. "Come on, just tell me who it is. I already heard everything," I lie. 

"He's a vampire," he breathes out in defeat.
