The Glares

After a few hours wandering in the forest I finally reached a town. At first, I feel very weird with all the stares I get from the people around. Am I really that different from the people here? After a few minutes I realized that is not the case. Then Is this the start of my popularity in this world? (In my past life I am very popular because of my name) I immediately realized that there are also old man who is also staring at me. That's why I immediately forget that idea.

"Hey Therese I'm getting a lot of attention from the people here. Is there something wrong with me?

or maybe they see the beauty of the staff that I hold which is you!" I teasingly ask Therese (my wand)

"Stop with your jokes. It isn't funny, you know. Also as I see it all of the glares are focusing only to you. They're obviously staring at you and not anything you possessed. Maybe you have done something wrong since you come into this town?"

"I want to ask them what's the problem but I'm not really a sociable person so it would be difficult for me. That's why Therese I'll leave it to you."

"Sorry but I can't do that for three reasons: First, I can only speak with the mind of my holder. Second, You think you're the only non-sociable person here? I'm also a non-sociable person you know! And lastly, even when you decided to let me do the questioning. It would take a lot of time and also it would only cause a lot of commotions. It would only cause troubles for all of us. That's why my answer is no. Why not try writing 'person' in your palm then swallow it? That's what they do in my past life to lessen embarrassment. As I think to do what Therese suggested a young girl approached me and said: "Weird Wizard"

I got goosebumps as I hear the word that the little girl spoke. Well I'm accustomed to be called weird in my previous life because of my name which is Joker Silver but I didn't expect to hear it even when I got here in another world. I immediately ask the little girl as to why she said that I'm weird but a woman approached me which maybe is her mother. She then said to her daughter not to speak with a weird wizard. I immediately ask the woman why I am weird and I literally freak out as I hear what she said. She said that I'm weird because I am talking to my staff and it looks like the staff also reply when I talk to it. Well it is really true though but I just didn't realized this. And also I though I'm branded as weird because of what the old man saw on the previous chapter. Oh I shouldn't have known about it. I apologize. But it is really a problem for me to be known as a weird wizard here is another world. Life is really hard on me. *sigh* Well I'll just accept it just like how I accept my name which is Joker Silver. As I thought about it I hear Therese speaking:

"Don't worry about it Jok--- Silver. No matter what happens I will always stay by your side."

She is definitely about to say Joker right? I got goosebumps again.

Wait Therese you can read what I think are?

"No. Not really. I just know it. Whenever you hold me your mind will be connected to me. That's why I will know what you are thinking. You can put me in a place where I can't touch your skin if you don't want me to know what you are thinking. But I think you might be lonely without speaking to me, you know. It's not like I would be lonely when I can't talk to you, you know. Don't worry I won't invade much of your privacy as I can." Oh she's really a tsundere from head to toe. Not like she have a head and toe though.

"How rude. I've been meaning to ask you this but what is a tsundere that you've always say sometimes when I say something?"

A tsundere is you. There's no more explanation about it. You are the very meaning of a tsundere. Don't worry about the little details about it. Now that I think about it, it's already nighttime so why don't we go find something to eat? Oh, I've forgot that you're a stuff so I'll just find somewhere to eat. WAIT, I've also forgotten that I've just got in to this world and I have money. Why not I just skip supper and look for a job immediately tomorrow. Now I should look for a good sleeping place.

After a few hours of finding a comfortable sleeping place. I decided to sleep on a horse stable. It should be comfortable for me because of the hay there. I should now sleep and look forward for the next morning. Good night Therese! "Good Night Silver"

But I didn't see the storm that is about to come. While I am sound asleep a shadow lurk in the darkness and stole Therese.

Now is the second day of my stay in this new world. I tried to find Therese as I am a really energetic when I sleep that's why I think Therese would be buried in the hay. But after a few hours of search I still didn't find Therese. I immediately think that she's been stolen by a person. I should find Therese as soon as possible. I don't know what the robber make out of Therese after all.
