4 Chapter 3: The Frogs

'I-is that a frog?' To Jordus' great surprise, the visual of seeing bipedal frogs stomping towards him is such a disorienting experience that it caused his mind to stalled.

From their swaggering walk to their odd upright stance, the frog people looked like an experiment gone wrong. With their wide faces smirking and random bloody animal hides haphazardly drape around their bodies, the group of bipedal frogs are nightmare inducing.

Besides that, the five failed experiments look about the place as if they are kings out checking their lands, tapping their makeshift weapons as they walk towards the village. With their towering heights of 240 centimeters or more, they held their head high in contempt for everything they saw by looking down at their surroundings.

'W-what the hell am I looking at? Which sick bastard was it that inseminated frogs?' Jordus first thought was to curse at the mad lad who created these things. On one hand, they looked intimidating with their towering heights . On the other hand they were so ugly that Jordus had to look away as to not damage his eyes further.

When the bipedal frogs got into the village, they started yelping loudly, or rather they sounded like dying animal screaming. From their tones they appear to demand something of the villagers.

The old man that escorted Jordus went to welcome them on behalf of his village. He looked to be the oldest in the village, or maybe smartest since he's the only one with three horns on his head, most of the other elders only have two.

The screaming and random yelps go on for a few minutes before Jordus hears the water people's guttural/phlegm spitting like speech in response.

Feeling curious, Jordus turned towards the scene as he fought off the urge to puke looking at the ugly abominations that are standing in the middle of the village.

What appears to be the leader of the frog group is 'speaking' in its dying animal screams and the old man that escorted Jordus is 'answering' back with his phlegm spitting ways.

The scene was comical to say the least, but from their exaggerated body language, the frog people don't seem too happy with what the old man said.

The four other frogs suddenly went up to their leader(?) and started menacingly tapping their makeshift weapons against their open palms.

The water people don't appear too impressed with the act as they didn't react at all. The old man that stood before the five abominations was as calm as still water, there was no visible sign of distress.

'Hmm...they don't seem too afraid?' From his point of view, Jordus can see that pretty much all the water people are not even flinching in fear, rather they seemed even more curious as they inched closer with slight confusion on their faces.

With their scare tactic failing, the five frogs stomp their webbed feet in anger all the while screaming, presumably profanity in their language.

After a while, the frogs stopped and began to make their way out of the village. However, just as Jordus thought that all was well, the five unceremoniously kidnapped three water people and carried them away.

They walked back the way they came and was soon out of view, all the while Jordus looked on in shock with his mouth and eyes wide open.

Looking around, he can see that the water people don't appear to be distressed by their kidnapped brethren. They don't seem to understand the meaning of such an act because they looked on as their kind were taken away and as soon as the frogs were out of sight, they went back to curiously observe him. It was a...disconcerting experience to say the least.

'What in the fucking world?!' Jordus felt as if his world view was flipped upside down. 'How could they just-'

Shaking his head out of the stupor Jordus started to seriously look around at the water people. Most just idle about and look at him curiously while a few just wander around the village aimlessly.

'These guys...they seemed more like adult size curious babies rather than intelligent people…' This fact was further cemented as he sees that a few of the younger ones walk around and touch or sniff random things around the village, with some even trying to bite on rocks and lick the dirt with confusion on their faces.

Even though they seems younger than the others villagers, those dumb villager still looked like young adults from Jordus's world. While the youngest ones are made almost entirely out of water.

Since he was too tired to see these disconcerting things when he first arrived at the village, as he assumed that this was a regular village…It turned out that this village is anything but normal.

'Oh my lord...what the hell is going on here? I thought they were smart enough to know what praying was...oh wait...maybe...they emulated some other group that they saw? Most probably is the case since I now know for a fact that there are other intelligent beings, and they seem to be smarter than these guys…' Jordus thought as he observed one villager trying to smell his own butt...they are surprisingly flexible.

It makes some sense since they are made of water, but how did they even transform into a form that is so similar to regular humans? But how did the frogs understand their speech and vice versa? Ah, the guy sniffing his butt smelled something…if his stupid face is any indication…

This is not good, they are way too innocent and are too easily taken advantage of...he must introduce them to some 'corruption' to balance things out...as all things should be.

'Yeah, I must raise their understanding and comprehension, or else they will have their kind taken away again...and there don't appear to be too much of their kinds left.' Nodding his head in agreement with his thoughts, Jordus decided to wait until he is able to speak and teach these people how to start communicating in English, since that's the only thing he knew.

He would further expand their knowledge from there since it is much easier to teach them if they understand what he said.

Jordus quickly made himself comfortable within the village, meanwhile a slight sense of incongruity within his mind of how he was able to walk and eat in his baby body completely gone from his mind, Jordus felt fired up to help these dumb villagers.
