// Incoming Call - Aria //
"Hello, Chris. Good afternoon." A sweet and smooth voice entered Chris's ears causing him to get aroused once again as his teenage hormones raged hearing her sensual voice.
"Good afternoon," Chris replied back politely, holding back his embarrassing reactions to her voice.
"So, you shifted your apartment? You didn't tell me about that yesterday, I might have been able to help you, you know?" Aria berated him as soon as the pleasantries were done.
"What could I have done?" Chris began, with Max's teachings still fresh in his mind, he threw back a cheesy flirty comment at her, "I got too distracted in talking to you that I forgot about all other worldly matters!"
"W-Whatever..." Aria's blushed as her cheeks burned in a hue of red after hearing his cheesy remark.
"Haha, when can I pick you up?" Chris asked with a short laugh.
"7 PM? Is that ok?" Aria replied with a tinge of uncertainty.
"Sure, as long as you are comfortable, I am ok with any time you choose," this time Chris wasn't even trying to flirt, but it just happened naturally.
"..." Aria didn't reply back because if she did, Chris might catch her embarrassment and her beet-red blushing face.
"Well, I will pick you up at 7'o clock then, I am looking forward to the dinner," Chris bid his farewell and ended the call after hearing a similar farewell from Aria's side.
"Phew I thought she was gonna get mad or something," Chris sighed in relief after having a successful little chat with Aria.
"Huh? Where did Cath go?" Chris suddenly remembered about his twin sister and first went to the bathroom in the master bedroom thinking she might be enjoying the bathtub.
But, she wasn't there, 'Hmm, balcony?' Chris wondered while walking to the open balcony that still showed the magnificent and breathtaking view.
"Hahaha," Chris chuckled after finding Cathy sleeping on the plush beach chair lazily like a cute little kitten.
Chris went back to the bedroom and brought a thin blanket to the balcony, he gently tucked Cathy in the bed and smiled slightly after seeing Cathy's relaxed face.
A relaxed face he rarely got to witness due to her constant workload and tension.
'I promise you will never have to go through such time again.' Chris smiled and left Cathy to sleep on the comfy beach chair.
'Hehe, time for a bath!' since Cathy was already asleep, Chris didn't waste any time and quickly ran into the bathroom to try out the bathtub.
...
'Haah, this is the life,' Chris sighed in pleasure after his body was submerged in foamy, warm water that gently embraced his body and rejuvenated all his cells.
He popped a bottle of champagne kept near the tub and poured it gently into a wine glass, enjoying his first day of the royal lifestyle to the peak.
*buzz* *buzz*
Chris's phone buzzed causing Chris to get disturbed from his momentary nap, 'Cass?' Chris yawned and saw that Cassie was calling him.
"BROTHER! Our house is robbed! All the valuable things are stolen!" Cassie shouted the moment Chris picked up the phone, surprising him with the shocking news!
"What the f*ck?! What was stolen?" Chris exclaimed with a solemn look on his face.
"When I just returned from school, I saw that our house was unlocked and doors were wide open!" Cassie narrated, "When I ran in to see what happened, everything from the house was stolen! The TV, my laptop, refrigerator, oven, and even the new clothes you bought!"
"Moreover, Ms. Sarah is asking us to pay the bill for the damages!!!" Cassie shouted, "Please come here quickly, Brother!"
*Splash*
"I will be there in some time." Chris jumped out of the bathtub hearing Cassie's words and quickly rinsed off the foam over his body, 'Guess I shouldn't have acted so cocky back then.'
It wouldn't take a genius to realize that this robbery was due to Chris's showing of wealth in the morning. The neighbors most likely thought that Chris had somehow won a lottery and had a lot of cash.
Not finding any cash or money in the apartment, they probably ended up looting any valuable thing in their sight.
Chris threw on his clothes and quickly ran to the elevator after locking the door, he didn't care about some second-hand crappy electronics or the new clothes that were stolen, nope.
'Cass is alone there!' Chris's primary concern was his younger sister! In the slummy and backward place such as Old Town Street, and with all the neighbors turned against the siblings, Cassie's safety couldn't be compromised!
*Ding*
The elevator reached the ground floor and Chris ran towards his bike at full speed, he quickly threw on his helmet and fired up the engine.
*VROOM*
The duke left Oracle Heights building at frightening speed and raced across the bustling streets without losing any momentum!
In the meantime --
Cassie was standing in their old apartment with a few tears in her eyes while Sarah and some other residents of this 2 story building surrounded her.
"Look how much damage you people have caused to my apartment, pay up!" Sarah demanded staring daggers into Cassie's eyes.
"B-Brother is coming, p-please talk to him..." Cassie didn't know what to say and a few more tears stained her cute face.
"Humph, tell him to hurry." Sarah scoffed and arrogantly took a seat on the couch.
"Y-Yes," Cassie took out her phone but she suddenly noticed something weird with the man who was standing near Sarah with the same condemning look on his face.
"T-That jacket is the one that brother bought yesterday!" She pointed her shaky fingers at the man's black sports jacket he was wearing.
"What do you mean, huh kid? You think this is the one your brother bought?! Then you also think that I was the one that robbed your house?!" The man drew some conclusions on his own and shouted at Cassie.
"T-That is brother's watch aswell... That is sister's bracelet..." Cassie pointed at two more items she found to be recognizable at the first glance, and coincidentally the bracelet she pointed turned out to be on Sarah's wrists!
"WHAT?! You fcking brat! You dare excuse us of theft?" Sarah suddenly got jumpy and tried to scare Cassie off, also berating herself in her mind for leaving such an obvious clue!
"B-But, how else did you get them?" Cassie stuttered and asked, fear still apparent in her innocent blue eyes.
"Do you want to know why?" Sarah smirked pointing at the bracelet coldly, but before she could do something, a loud engine roar entered their narrow streets, its voice reverberating around the whole area!
Roy's eyes brightened hearing the violent roars of Chris's bike echoing in their ears as his bike drew closer to the building.
'Welcome back, darling,' Roy's mouth curved up into a cold smirk...
