1 Chapter 1-His Class

It's the year 3020.

A man walks down the street carrying a bag on his shoulder.

The man has black hair and brown eyes. He wears a white jacket, black jeans, and black sneakers.

The man stops in front of a gigantic school.

"I am finally here..."

This man's name was Shin Yamato and he has arrived at this school to receive his class.

Other people are seen entering the school and Shin follows.

As Shin enters the school, he looks around as it is crowded with other players.

(If you missed it, Players are the new term for humans in this year.)

"Wow, there must be a lot of people receiving their classes today"

Shin walks up to the security desk and asks where the examination would be held.

The security guard answers Shin that the examinations are held in the gym.

As Shin approaches the gym, he bumps into a woman.

"Oh, sorry Ma'am!"

The Woman turned around.

She has blond hair and green eyes. She had an athletic build. She could even be mistaken for a model. Her beauty had shocked Shin.

"Oh it's ok, it didn't hurt. Are you here to take the examination too?"

"...Uhh, Yeah!" Shin replied

The woman smiled at Shin.

"My name is Rika, Rika Skywood. I'm a hybrid between an elf and a player."

"Part elf?" Shin questioned as he looked at Rika's ears.

"My ears are mostly human, they aren't long and they only appear slightly pointy."

"Oh, I see. My name is Shin, Shin Yamato. I'm just a regular player, nothing else."

"I see...hey wanna compare out stats?" Rika questioned

Shin shivered and became nervous.

"Umm, my stats! Umm...Uhh..."

Rika became confused.

"What's wrong? We are only comparing our stats?"

"Yeah about that...My stats aren't very good"

"What do you mean?" Rika questioned

Shin sighed.

"Well..."

Shin brought out his stat window.

Rika read through his stats and her expression changed.

"Yeah...my stats aren't...that good"

Shin looked down at his feet in disappointment.

"It's ok...you must have a reason to have these weak stats...right?"

Shin looked up.

"...Yeah"

Rika gazed at Shin.

"Well here are my stats."

She brought out her stat window.

Shin looked at them and started reading it.

His eyes would widen

"Im-Impressive..." He said in astonishment.

She was level 20, her Strength and Magic were at 240, her Agility and Endurance were at 142 and her Stamina and Vitality were at 1340.

"How did you...reach these stats?" Shin questioned in amazement.

"Well, my father trained a little."

Rika closed her Stats.

"Your parents must be proud to have a daughter like you..." Shin said,

"What about your parents?" Rika questioned,

Shin became depressed.

"My father is dead...and my mother lost an arm since they got involved in a raid in the otherworld."

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear about that..." Rika said,

"It's alright, I've decided to go for a peaceful job after I get my class. I will probably be a low-class...a trader is what I want to be. It doesn't evolve any fighting and it pays well." He said as he faked a smile.

"Anyways shouldn't we be lining up?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, it was nice to meet you, Shin."

"You too Rika..."

Shin and Rika parted ways.

30 minutes later...

`mm...this line is taking forever...` He thought

Shin was the 6th in line and Rika was in a different line.

`Wonder what class Rika will be getting?`

"NO WAY...!"

"This girl got a high class!?"

"No this is a Special class!"

There was a bunch of commotion on the other side of the gym.

"Hmm? What is happening over there?" Shin questioned the man next to him.

"Someone got a special class," A man next to him replied.

`Someone got a special class? Those are extremely rare...wonder who?` He thought to himself.

Shin struggled to observe what was going on but he caught a glimpse of Rika. Her stat window was exposed and her class was being written. As he glanced at Rika's class, his jaw dropped. Her class wrote:

CLASS: VALKYRIE

Shin was shocked.

`She...got a special class...`

Shin then recalled Rika's stats.

"Well, it must be because of her stats. She did have extremely high stats so I guess a Valkyrie would suit her. Valkyries are a common special class." He thought

"Next!"

Shin looked up ahead and he was next in line.

"Oh sorry sir" He walked up to the Examiner.

"Name?"

"Shin Yamato sir."

"Ok Mister Yamato, lemme see your stats."

Shin brought out his stat window.

The Examiner read his stats and he clicked his tongue.

"Very weak...you'll probably get a low class."

Shin sighed as he already knew that.

"Hehe...look at his stats"

"Their so low..."

"He probably doesn't even need a test to figure out his class."

Shin ignored the players gossiping about him.

"Anyways Mister Yamato, please put your hand on the touchpad and you'll receive your class..."

Shin put his hand on the touchpad and the touchpad began analyzing him.

The process took a little long and his class never appeared.

"Hmm?" The Examiner was confused.

"Is it broken sir?" Shin asked

"No no just...Uhh...take your hand off and put it back on"

Shin put his hand back on the touchpad.

"He's not getting a class?"

"Maybe he's just super weak to be given a class"

"Yeah probably..."

Shin again ignored the people around him.

Suddenly a strange loud cracking noise would be heard.

Shin looked around.

"What is this?"

The air around Shin had become distorted and a purple-colored portal opened up on the ceiling.

Everybody started panicking and running around trying to find the exit. The guards came rushing in.

"Everybody calm down!" The guards would yell.

A tiny blue and red-colored spirit had emerged from the portal along with some black mist. The mist had blinded everyone in the gym. The spirit would zap around and as soon as it spotted Shin, it sped towards him and merged itself into Shin's body. No one noticed, including Shin as the mist was blinding him too. 2 minutes later the Mist had faded away and the portal had closed up. The air around Shin had returned normal.

"Everyone stay calm and go back in line. It's safe now."

Shin looked around as the air returned to normal.

"Hmm wonder what that was about..." He thought

The machine made a ringing sound.

"Oh it looks like you received your class, I was wondering if you would get a cla..." The Examiner stopped as he looked at Shin's class.

"W-W-What the..."

"Hmm? What's the matter, sir?" Shin asked as he looked up to see his class.

"Y-Y-YOU GOT A SPECIAL CLASS!?" The Examiner shouted.

Everyone looked at Shin's direction and observed his stats.

"No way..."

"A weakling like him receiving a special class?"

"What kind of special class did he get."

Shin looked at his stat window and then looked at his class.

"What...no...this isn't what I wanted. Why did I receive a special class? I'm..I'm weak. My class...My class..."

"IS A DEVIL?!?!?!"
