5 I Want to Accompany You

Wu Hong has arrived at the Yong Sheng Academy's right wing palace not long after the Emperor has ordered him to invite the mighty divine guardian, Xuanyuan Longzi to the Kong Tian palace. Along with the still shivering official Wang, they arrived at the right wing palace without a hitch.

"Official Wang, you should aware that your position is rather high to be able to guard this palace." Wu Hong said to Wang Pifu, the official that has become timid because of the Emperor's intimidation.

"I, I n-naturaly kn-know that, Lord Wu." Wang Pifu said, trembling at the sight of the expresionless Wu Hong. His voice sounded as if he was a crying baby donkey. He became even more horrified after searching for nearly three part of the day with Wu Hong, but they didn't found anything. Although he is the official tasked to guard this palace, he never actually enter the palace for real so he doesn't know the outline of it. The previous generation of his family also carry the order to guard this palace, but none of them ever entered the palace because the royal order of the previous rulers.

Wang Pifu is really scared that this mighty Lord Wu, the highly trusted subordinate of the Emperor will directly cut his head because of his ignorance.

"Wang Pifu, you said you know. But we spent hours in this palace and found nothing at all. How am I supposed to report to the Emperor, that the mighty guardian Xuanyuan has vanished without trace, here at the Yong Sheng Academy?" It isn't just Wang Pifu, actually the calm Wu Hong started to agitated and anxious because they found not a remnant of the guardian Xuanyuan, so he can't think straight and his head became muddled.

It's the legendary divine guardian Xuanyuan after all! Not even the previous generation Emperor has seen it!

"L-lord Wu, maybe the lord g-g-guardian has walked outside this palace? I-t's not im-impossible, ri-right?" Said Wang Pifu who nearly wetted himself at the spot.

"Right! We should search the whole academy to find the divine guardian! Guard Wang, you come with me!!" Wu Hong said to Wang Pifu, that had his back sweating profusely.

The Emperor didn't ordered anyone else in this search of the guardian. Only Wu Hong and this faint headed old Wang, because His Highness doesn't want to cause clamor inside the Empire. The divine guardian Xuanyuan, of course anyone would be triggered to worshipped him if they ever heard this holy name mentioned.

Xuanyuan Longzi has protected the empire for five generations, after all!

"How is it?" The little girl uttered so while draped her black cloak over him. Chaotuo without the black cloth covering her is look alike another beautiful young miss of the noble family. She done her hair following the common latest trend, with a white jade ornamen thrusted into her hair to hold the hairstyle. Adding a little bun to the picture and strands of hair that swathing in the air, her aura actually not that faint and her smile is really dazzling.

"It's the first time someone do my hair. I don't know what I feel." Longzi said honestly, while looking into her eyes.

"That braids fit you really well. Why are you even keeping a long hair if you didn't manage it properly." She said, putting on a vile to cover her face. Then she turned back to examining their surrounding. It was incredibly quiet in this greenhouse, to the point of serenity. The fluttering wind bring their hair into life, rippling like sea wave.

"Why bother." He reached his hand out, intending to removed that meager piece of fabric to let her face known to the world. Nimbly evaded his hand, Chaotuo giggled and said to him:

"It would be better to cover yourself like this if you want to go out of your home. You wouldn't caught any unneeded attention and it would made your days easier. Farewell, Longzi!" She bowed her head slightly to him, this fortunate meeting should and here. She didn't really know him and shouldn't meddling into his business.

"Where are you going, little Chao?" Longzi looked down on the girl that a feet shorter than him, the clarity in her eyes captivating him everytime he looked into them.

"I want to watch entertainments to amused myself, you shouldn't follow me anymore." She turned around to leave this place. But as if remembered something, she turned her head slightly and said to Longzi,

"I just remember that the palace where we met before is said to be sealed and the students were forbidden to enter it. You shouldn't go that place often even if you have the right to enter." Hearing this warning from Chaotuo, Longzi felt amused and thought that she was joking. However after saw her serious expression that truly worried over him, he felt something nice looming inside his heart.

"I won't go, I won't go." He told her sincerely. Chaotuo felt assured after she listened him said that wholeheartedly. Just as she want to leave him, she heard him say something.

"Chaotuo, let me accompany you." He said that sternly, as if no one and Chotuo herself can rebute him. Longzi felt that he can't assured a little girl with just this claim. Then he tugged at the hem of her dress.

"I want to broaden my mind, wouldn't little Chao accompany me to see the world?" After he stated that out, even he felt that this is too big of a lie to be believed. No way this clever little girl would believe it.

"Longzi, so you also like to appreciates the wonders of the world!" The little girl actually bought his lie, and catch a hold of the hand that has been tugging at her sleeve. She smiled and pull Longzi to follow her,

"I'm still ignorant, let us found out this vast world together!" As before, the smile is so soothing and Longzi was caught unprepared by it.

The warm hand holding him, and his thumping heart. All of this is truly a wonder to him!
