The villainess is the main antagonist of the story. She must be brutal, aggressive, and not give in to good. The villainess must be a woman that others admire but also despite. As for the House of Belladonna. To act evil is an act of kindness. Adriana Belladonna is the daughter who belonged to a powerful family that ruled the lands of Arabella. Also known for their studies of the dark arts. In short black magic. Given the title as ‘poison beauty’. Adriana was accused of many things such as the kidnapping of Astell Skydane, the heir of the Skydane House. In the year 4002 of Arabella, Adriana Belladonna, was executed when she had not committed any crimes. But when she woke up once more she was back to her eighteen years old self. Five years after her execution. "Open the curtains, and what year is it?" ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== Illustrated by: laylee_hiu Editor: @nyctophile1970 (X) Instagram: author_ann0
Adrian found herself absorbed with the book. She had been sitting and reading the same book for almost two hours now.
There were tons of new information she had never learned, like how to make a contract with a devil or the different types of creatures that can be summoned. But still, nothing was related to what she was looking for.
There were about a hundred pages left from the book, and still, nothing thirsted her question.
"Chapter sixteen, a way to sustain," Adriana softly read to herself. "Unicorn blood is one of the best options to sustain the body…."
Adriana shook her head. This was not the answer she wanted. There has to be more, but Adriana could not find the answer.
She flipped to the next page. Which made her gasp. Adriana leaned herself closer to the book, and her eyes scanned each word faster than usual.
"Light magic…" read Adriana. "Is this the only solution? It can't be. There must be another way."
Adriana flipped to the next page, and it was a whole new chapter. She sighed frustratedly and shut the book. In the end, the answer was still the same.
The word light magic sounded so dazzling that she didn't want to know more. If unicorn blood and using light magic are the best solution. There is nothing much she can do.
The only ones who could use light magic are those in the Skydane family.
Adriana leaned back on the chair and sighed once more. She still had an urge to search for more answers, but in the end, they were the same.
This leaves her no choice but to continue drinking the blood of unicorns, as asking someone from the Skydane family would be impossible.
Adriana wondered what it would be like if the four families were close. Will the people be rejoicing or start rumors or controversies about it?
It was a stupid thought. As reality shows the way it is. Evilness will always play a part in each story.
Unable to find any other information, Adriana dazed from her seat. Her mind turned blank, and she heard her heartbeat beating faster every second.
"Elphina? Are you alright?" asked Leena, who tapped her shoulder.
While Adriana gasped and pulled Leena down from her wrist. When she saw it was Leena. Adriana had let go of her wrist. But then Adriana was suddenly pushed onto the table by another person.
"Pierre, release her," ordered Leena, who pulled his arm.
"But she hurt you," answered Pierre, who kept glaring at Adriana.
"She's my friend. I'm sure she was shocked, and it's partly my fault," insisted Leena, and Pierre listened. He took a step back and looked away from them. "I'm sorry about him. He's just overprotective."
"N-no, it's alright. I'm sorry about that," Adriana looked at her wrist, and Leena shook her head.
"No, no, no, don't be sorry. It's my fault," Leena apologized back. "I saw you staring, and you did not look alright. I called you not once but thrice, but you didn't seem to hear me."
Adriana blinked twice and stumbled at her own words. She almost turned into a suspicious person. From being weak-looking to someone who has a bit of background in fighting.
"Thank you for calling out," Adriana forced a smile.
"Ah, let me introduce you to Pierre," Leena took a step to the side and pointed to Pierre. "He's my childhood friend."
"And personal guard. Please do not forget that Lady Leena," added Pierre, who glanced at Adriana.
"Also, you apologize," Leena scolded Pierre, who looked as if he did not want.
"I apologize to this lady."
"You're done with your business already?" Adriana asked while Leena titled her head to the side, looking confused. She pointed out the window and looked at Adriana.
The sun was setting, which Adriana overlooked. Then for how long did she space out? An hour or two?
Adriana awkwardly laughed out loud and scratched her cheek. "I think I was thinking about something so deep. That I did not realize time had passed."
"Don't worry. It sometimes happens to me," Leena said.
"Then I'll see you next time?" Leena asked, hoping and wishing Adriana would say the same.
"Yes, that is if I have the time," replied Adriana though she doubts she'll ever come back here.
After a long day, Adriana got out of the bath feeling refreshed after taking a warm bath. A white towel hung around her neck as the water from her hair dripped onto the ground.
Adriana sat on the chair near the balcony and summons Yashiro.
"You called?" Yashiro asked, who appeared in a smaller form than before.
"You've grown smaller."
"This is to help your body. You've grown weaker because of that incident," cleared Yashiro, who acted like he did not care about Adriana but did.
"He was way too powerful for me to handle. I was too overconfident with myself," explained Adriana, drying her hair using the towel.
Adriana was about to say another word, not until she felt someone looking at her. She grew silent and signaled Yashiro, who understood.
The pair of eyes. Adriana could feel where it was coming from. It was a good thing she did not open the balcony doors. Because she could see a pair of red eyes staring at her.
A child ran down her spine, but Adriana did not shiver and let it pass. The owner of those eyes. Adriana knew who it was. Does this man not know the word privacy?
Adriana did not look into the pair of eyes as she knew. Issac would enter her room if she noticed him.
For now, the best way was to act normally, which Adriana did. She grabbed her nightgown, placed on her bed then moved into the bathroom.
Adriana removed her bathrobe and wore her nightgown. Then walked out of the bathroom. But the pair of eyes were no longer looking at her.
Issac was gone. Which made Adriana shut her curtains before Issac came back to look at her.
"That was horrible," Yashiro said in Adriana's head.
"Yes, it was. I can't believe he dared to spy on me at this time of the night," agreed Adriana.
"His eyes made me shiver, and I'm sure you did too."
As much she did not want to admit it. Adriana did shiver from seeing his eyes. It was like the eyes of a demon.
"Yashiro, I'll be counting on you for a while."
"Yes, please it to me."
