Honestly I haven't read the story yet but I saw in the description that there was no romance. The fact that there is no romance and it is stated in the description and guaranteed deserves a five star review in and of itself. The yell of excitement I give when I saw that was hilarious. The amount of times I've had to stop reading a good story because they introduce romance makes me weep. So thank you Author. I dont start a story until at least fifty chapters but for this story I'm going to break that rule. I'll right another review when I catch up with the story.
The book is intriguing primarily because of the villainous trait of the main character. Not too thrilled about the beginning but deciding to give the future chapters a chance didn't disappoint. Everyone's happy cuz there's no romance, geez. This part ticked me off at first. Okay, I'm a fan of romance but I noticed that with the present storyline, including romance would ruin everything. Where would you even add it? It would only give Mike a weakness and I'm pretty sure that's the last thing ve needs right now. However, I expect less robotic side characters. World building is excellent but what brought down the ratings from 5.0 is the lacking character design and unstable writing quality. Poor at the beginning but gets better as the story progresses.
Overall and good points: So far, it is the typical transmigration story with a system. It is however, not a revenge story and the aim for now is to survive. The background setting is quite interesting family wise. On top of that, the content is quite easy to comprehend. Nevertheless, what makes this story interesting is unique and unexpected antagonists and plot changes- the silver lining of this book. The thing about this book that I really appreciate is the presence of intrigue and calculations on what could have happened and why things happen. A sort of human behavior prediction. Cons: It is hard to call the style as outstanding, not to mention triggering curiosity is rather hard in beginning chapters. Character could be more developed, there is a lot of wasted potential, especially with what happened to bell, whilst the unexpectedness is quite entertaining, I see an ark wasted. Also, the dialogues make it hard to immerse fully as they sound as though taken from a modern setting and a bit bland or too explanatory. Another thing that turned me off, was how easy the character gained points. There should be a more gripping, heart throbbing journey. Maybe because itâs the beginning, I canât seem to get excited. Additionally, other than the mc journey being too easy is the lack of any sort of moral compass. I canât see the difference between the mc and scum. Adding this after reading chapter 8, but I really cannot see cliff hangers and conflicts get resolved too easily. Itâs like the ark ended before it began. Advice : Perhaps, add more flavor to the character such as stoic, lively, cold, passionate, devious, scheming etc. i know it is a character setting on its own but the mc seems bland. And add more conjunctions and sentence structure variation so the readers doesnât get bored. Stop wasting arks and plot points. Also, this one is probably me, but I am really tired of demon gods.
To be honest ill be rating this work for various reasons . The first being that this is the Author's first book and yet the story is solid and i didn't find any loopholes till now. The english is decent and not many grammar mistakes exist which really shows how much thought and hard work the author is putting into this novel and he doesnt even have an editor and he isnt even contracted yet. The last point is that this story isnt predictable at all . Keep up the good work and ill be following this work when it gets more chapters.
For those that enjoy novels with system then this novel jumps right into the action. The pacing is good and the world building shows that the writer put a lot of thought and effort into it. The updates are stable and I look forwards to the next chapters to see what else we will discover. Even though some explanations seem a bit sparse for my taste at first. The more you read everything starts to come together as the story progresses, keep on writing and all the best!
"I read until chapter 27, so here's my review: the writing quality is okay if you are a beginner reader. The story development was okay but not really unique, as it resembles more of a cultivation world (where characters kill and become stronger until the end). Our character's thinking is on track and fully developed, so you won't be bothered if the main character is dumb or makes silly mistakes. Anyway, the overall performance of the writing is good. The world background was also explained in detail."
