1 Chapter 1: His Light

My life flash before my eyes. From my first cry in this world to silence of my death. As I walked through the darkness, different images of my life played. From the happiest moments to the sad.

I walked and walked. I do not know how long I walked but the only thing that kept me going was my will to live.

At first I heard a voice calling out to me. Each word filled with such sadness, longing, and love.

I walked towards the voice. It made the darkness around me less lonely and eerie. As I got closer and closer the voices got louder and louder.

"Yun'er come back to me."

"That's it. You are almost there."

"Please don't leave me alone. I can't live without you."

"Yun'er~."

"Yun'er~."

"Yun'er~."

I saw the light. I was so happy that I ran towards it with all my might. Soon the light was in a shape of a man. I stopped, staring at the man even though his light was blinding me. He opened his arms wide.

"Yun'er~, let's go home."

"Home?."

Home. I don't know how long it's been since I heard that word or the fact I haven't had a conversation with someone else in forever. But that one word made me feel at peace. His voice lead me here in my time of need and loneliness.

"Yes, our home. Now come on over here."

His voice sounded so gentle and sweet like he is talking to a love one or try to convince a child to do as you say.

Something deep inside in me pushing me forward; to go to him. With him I will be safe. I ran into his arms and his arms wrap around me like a soft blanket feeling up with warmth. At this point I don't care if I have to stay in this dark place forever, as long as he is with me.

After awhile I felt myself merging with him, becoming one being. I never realize I was missing a piece of myself until this very moment. I was a missing piece for him too. I don't want to sound corny but we were made for each other. Then his light wrapped around me and his body disappeared.

I was about to panicked when I heard his voice once more. His voice was so low that I couldn't hear what he said. Even though I couldn't understand what he was trying to say to me but I can feel the emotion behind his words.

I was not scared anymore and relaxed as his light and I too disappeared.

Then I started to hear different voices around me.

"How is my granddaughter? You said she will wake up soon?" The voice sounds worried.😥

"I am sorry Master Chen. There is nothing more I can do for her. Since there is no Qi circulating through her body to help her heal faster. She is in a coma state right now. I am afraid she will not live past the night." His sound nervous.😓

"YOU ARE QUARK! USELESS. YOU CALL YOURSELF A DOCTOR. WHAT ABOUT THE PILL THAT YOU TALKED ABOUT THAT CAN HEAL HER!"😡

"I am sorry Master Chen. I am afraid we ran out. The senior alchemist at the shop said it will take a full day. The young miss may not make it before it is complete."
