Two Magical Circuits, One Body I

At nightfall, Adall and Fercyn once again made their way to the training ground.

Naturally, it wasn't for training.

Moreover, they wouldn't be able to accomplish much given the condition the latter was in.

"You're finally here! Let's not waste any more time. Adall, undress and place yourself in the center of the magic circle."

Orion, present at the site well before them, was the first to speak, forcibly pulling the young boy out of his astonishment.

Up to that point, he had been observing with wonder the gigantic magic circle traced directly on the ground, which covered more than 80% of the training ground, and the mana stone mounds arranged at various locations.

Obeying his ancestor without further delay, Adall found himself sitting cross-legged, bare-chested, in the center of the circle the minute after.

This reminded him a bit of the situation he had experienced when he was forcibly teleported to the black continent by Orion.

Observing the surroundings once again, his gaze full of wonder inadvertently met Evelyn's, who immediately turned away. This reaction from the dark elf surprised the young boy a little, but now wasn't the time for distraction.

Orion's voice echoed once more.

"We will begin with optimizing your magical sensitivity... I will then remove your current magical circuit and transplant one after the other, the two magical circuits forming the primordial matrix..."

"Two magical circuits?!"

Adall, who had been practically silent until then, couldn't help but ask.

His voice was filled with both astonishment and concern.

It was understandable because never in history had there been mention of a person possessing two magical circuits in their body.

The scene of Orion explaining to him three years ago that he would surely explode if they attempted transplantation without first strengthening his body came back to his mind at that moment.

He could now better understand his ancestor's warnings.

"Let's begin!"

Without even satisfying the young boy's curiosity, Orion continued his mission by injecting a large amount of his mana into the magic circle traced on the ground without further delay.

It instantly lit up, proof that it was activated, and began to search for an even crazier amount of mana, which it quickly found inside the mana stone mounds arranged within the magic circle.

The mana stone mounds dwindled in size before their eyes, and as this phenomenon progressed, the light emitted by the circle intensified.

Once all the mana stones within it disappeared, the light produced during this operation immediately converged towards Adall's body.

From afar, it was as if it was forcibly drawn towards him.

Upon contact with Adall's body, the light passed through him, losing some of its brilliance on the way out. This process repeated countless times for over an hour before coming to a complete stop.

Adall was sweating by the end of it!

The experience wasn't painful, however, each time the light passed through his body, he felt immense pressure throughout his being.

A pressure that strongly reminded him of his experience in the mana cube during the evaluation of his magic talent. The only difference this time was that the light didn't really give him time to get used to a level of pressure before increasing the difficulty even more during its next passage.

Adall quickly caught his breath thanks to his connection with the life pearl.

He then focused on his body to note the differences from his former self. After all, the operation that had just ended was the ritual of optimizing magical sensitivity.

"Wow!"

It took him just a moment to realize that his current mana sensitivity was light-years ahead of what he had before, even if it was just a one-point difference.

"The mana? How come I can feel it and see it so clearly? It's really everywhere, as described in the books!"

Indeed, in addition to being able to feel the mana contained in nature as one would feel the wind, he could now see it by focusing on his visual faculties. He could also perceive mana inside every living being and object around him.

It was as if he was seeing the world in color for the first time in his life!

"Wow!"

While Adall exclaimed at the new ability he had just acquired and was experiencing, the spectators, Fercyn, Evelyn, and Orion, watched the scene of the young boy's monologue without really understanding what he was talking about.

Even though Orion had also undergone the ritual of optimizing magical sensitivity, his sensitivity had never reached 100%. He was just as clueless as the two dark elves next to him.

At least, initially...

Indeed, based on his years of experience and the discussions among primordials he remembered, Orion quickly understood that Adall's current situation was the result of his magical sensitivity reaching 100%.

The operation was thus a resounding success...

He could then move on to the next step in their program: the transplantation of the primordial matrix.

"You will discover the changes your body undergoes afterward... We must continue."

Silence!!!

It could be seen on Adall's face that he had not yet satisfied all his curiosity about his new state, but he couldn't really oppose Orion's decision to continue.

The latter entered the magic circle the next moment, which had already lost all its brilliance, and walked towards the young boy sitting cross-legged in its center.

He stopped just behind him and squatted down to place the palm of his right hand on his back, where his heart would be and, by extension, his magical core.

"The core is the neural center of all magical circuits. To remove yours without too much complication, that's where I must focus and do the bulk of the work. But, I'm not telling you anything new, am I?"

Adall remembered well his first encounter with his ancestor.

He remembered perfectly well how the latter had proceeded to tidy up his current magical circuit to make it operational. He also remembered the pain he had felt at that moment.

Unlike the previous time, when the operation consisted only of tidying up an already existing magical circuit, his circuit would be removed this time.

He could already imagine an exponential increase in the pain he would feel compared to the previous time, and he was right.
