The War of ABALKI

There has been war since time began, ones you would not say in your prayers. Men rose in chaos and destruction for their ultimate want of peace and power. Along this warpath, a man who should defend his nation from collapse, was tried to save himself or his insaparable beloved one; being aware that the latter put the nation at the brink of oblivion, he saved his princess, sacrificing the most just for her. Why did he do that? What would you do? You can only tell if you travel back in the story.
