The beginning

A human walked through an empty marketplace looking for food for his family, yet nothing was left. Stalls were left with no food, and looking at them you could see the weare and tear of hands desperately grabbing for something. They could see that there was war on the horizon and were scared.

Panic set in and they panic bought in bulk. The man reminisced, just a few days earlier the stalls were a plase worse than anything thing he had ever sene. Thinking back to that day he regretted not fighting for his food. Now his family's supplies was getting low, and there was nothing left.

He knew there was a way for him to get food for him and his family, but it was not a pretty way.

The military has been trying to get more people to join, this was not helping the confidence of the public. Knowing that food was running low, they offered food for the family's of any how join, especially mages. Being a ice mage himself he was lucky not to worry about water at his house, even though it took a minute to melt, but could it be used to join the army?

Another scary thing were demons and elfs. The elf's were as fast and nimble, and their bow skills are amazing, and their magic is nothing to scoff at, not many humans could go toe to toe with them, luckily they were outnumbered 10:1

Demons were a whole other thing. They were massive scaring the socks off of any who see them. There thick scales make it hard to hurt them, but luckily they have to live it the mountains to sooth their scales.

These things make people hesitant to join the military, but with the food shortages due to winter not many have a choice. This man unfortunately was one of them
