New day

When James and Helen finished reading the letter, they were both speechless. Even though James knew about the hypnosis but it was still a shock to hear Noah being the hypnotist. In the past, he's been in the Opposition but he's usually a troublemaker since he was young. General was like a brother to him but seeing him suffer from hypnosis made him want to get out of that mess. He didn't know it was Noah because at that time, his face was covered. James thought, if only he'd known it earlier the General wouldn't need to suffer that much.

"Helen, I know I don't have that much power but let's protect the General from now on. Who knows what Julian and that freaking mastermind is up to." Helen was looking at James and said, "I love it when you are so devoted to the General." James blushed, "What... what are you talking about? Isn't it what the advisor s'pose to do? Of course, I'm devoted to him. He's like an older brother to me." Helen giggled, "You look so cute like that." James sighed, "Shut up."

Helen looked at the General smiling.

"Hey, when is Erika coming back? Shouldn't we tell her about Noah?" Helen asked.

"After she comes back, man... I'm hungry." James got up and stretched around the room.

"Hi guys! I'm back." Erika carried three paper bags of food and placed them on the round table.

"Did you go out and bought all these?" Helen's face brightened up.

"This is great." James opened up one bag and started to eat the bread.

"This bread tastes awesome. Oh, we also have one cup of hot soup and there's dessert too! Man, this is great." James was so happy.

"Helen, this is yours. I'm going to make some tea for you guys. I'm going to come back." Erika headed out and went into the kitchen.

"I wonder where did she get all these." Helen asked.

"Beats me. Oh right, we have to tell her about Noah. Why didn't I say it when she was in the room." James facepalmed.

"We can tell her later. Let's eat." James nodded.

Erika came back with three cups of hot tea.

"Here you go. Have some." She smiled.

"Awesome! Thanks, Erika." James happily took a cup.

"Erika, we wanted to show you this letter. It's from the secretary. He left it in the General's profile. We were shocked as well. Have a read." Helen gave the letter to Erika.

"This explains it. But, it's shocking." As Erika read the letter, she clutched the paper.

Then, James explained his past with the General.

"Wow, seriously? No wonder you two are so close." Helen was shocked.

"Right now, we just need the General to wake up soon. We got a war to fight." Erika felt determined that they will win it.

"Erika, James and I, are planning to protect the General with everything we have. His enemies are everywhere, in every corner, we don't want him to fight alone. He needs us. You need to support him too. You are his woman after all." Erika almost teared up.

"Thank you, Helen and James. I really appreciate this. For now, let's just focus on his recovery." They all agreed upon this.

As night came, Helen and James went back to their room. Erika organized the papers and cleaned his room a bit.

After several minutes, Erika sat beside the General as she began to read his favorite poems.

Erika haven't read poems for such a long time. As she began to read, she started to fall in love with the poems. It was just too beautiful.

"André, I never knew you liked poems. I just finished reading your favorite parts. I loved them too. General, I wanted to let you know I am with you. I want to help you and support you whenever I can. Even if we seperate, my heart will always belong to you." She removed some of his hair away from his face and gently kissed him on his forehead and then, his lips.

When she was ready to get up, his hand grabbed her.

"General? Are you awake?" He slowly nodded.

"Such a relief, we were so worried about you." He smiled.

"Are you thirsty?" He slowly nodded.

"Here, drink slowly." Erika supported André's neck and head.

As Erika slowly put him in bed, she felt a tear inside her eyes.

"Erika... " He whispered.

"I'm here, André. I won't leave." She gently caressed his face and smiled.

"Erika... I... I'm sorry." His voice cracked.

"It's not your fault. Don't be sorry." She reassured him.

He tried to talk some more but failed.

"I... I..." Erika leaned in a bit.

"Don't force yourself. Take your time."

He nodded and gently closed his eyes.

As the General started to fall asleep again, Erika stroked his hair. She was so happy the General has woken up.

Few weeks later, General König improved a lot. His energy came back and Erika supported him throughout his recovery.

"Erika, since we didn't get to go to the frontline last time. We are leaving tomorrow." Helen reminded her and she thanked her for it.

"Ah, today is so beautiful. It's the first time the sun came out. It was gloomy for the past few weeks." Erika lied on her bed while Helen packed her stuff.

"The war will start soon. Like the one from before but I heard this time, it will be worse. The Opposition got more manpower than us." Helen said.

"We'll think of something. The General must have a way." Erika got up and started packing her stuff too, "I guess we won't be coming back here any time soon. Do you know where we will be staying this time?"

"I heard we will be living in small rooms. But it will be pretty close to the frontline. Guess we'll know when we are there." Helen said while she open we opened the window for some fresh air.

"I hope every day is sunny." Helen enjoyed the warm sunlight.

"I agree." Replied Erika.
