General's enemy

Erika was still inside the tent with the General and his advisor plus his secretary.

After a while, the General asked the two other soldiers to untie them.

After waiting for a few minutes, the advisor started talking.

"Do you know why you guys are here?"

No reply was given.

"Who sent you here?"

No reply also.

"Do you know stabbing the General is a huge crime?"

"He deserves to be stabbed! He deserves to be dead!" It was the soldier she saw that night.

"Erika, were these two in my room that night?" General König asked.

"The one on the right. He was in your room that night. The one on the left, I didn't see him."

"Erika, do you want to know why I killed his brother?" Erika nodded.

"He betrayed me. I'll kill whoever goes against me."

"Kill all you want. There are more people who wanted to go to the Oppositions than staying with you, Heartless Bastard! No wonder your parents doesn't even want you!"

"Enough!" General Advisor stopped them from saying any further.

Erika remembered that General König doesn't remember his past that well and the pain from the past still lingers inside him.

"Bring them outside, we'll deal with them in a minute." The advisor looked at Erika and signalled her to stay with the General. Erika nodded.

"General König, don't listen to them. Don't force yourself to remember." But he didn't say anything.

"General König?"

Erika didn't think about anything, she doesn't care if she gets fired, she went with her ways and gently embraced General König.

"Erika, can you stay with me?" Erika nodded, "I'll stay with you as long as you need me."

Erika have not seen him cry but she can tell he needed someone. She is glad she can be of some help.

Few days later, General König became cold and icy again. Erika really wished he could smile at least once. She sighed.

"What's wrong, Erika?" Sarah was looking at with a concerned expression

"You've been sighing all day!" Helen said.

"General became his old self again. Few nights ago, I thought he needed me. But today, haha..." Erika chuckled.

"He's a difficult person to please. Don't worry. You have to let him trust you and give him time." Erika nodded, it's true... the General doesn't get attached too quickly or else he thinks he will suffer again.

While Erika organized some stuff inside the truck, General Advisor came.

"It's been a while, Advisor!"

As they chatted away, Erika was curious about something.

"Advisor, what's your name?" Erika asked.

"I'm James. But call me Advisor. I got used to that." Erika laughed, "Alright, Advisor."

"How's the General doing? Is he okay?" Erika was concerned.

"He just needed some time to himself. He is trying to remember his past but he couldn't. He usually say he experiences pain whenever he tries to remember so right now, he wants to forget about it." Erika looked disappointed.

"Did something happen that night?" The advisor was curious.

"No No No... I was just asking."

"Your face is red." The advisor chuckled.

"The General will eventually understand you. He's been through a lot in the past. He doesn't want to get hurt again." The advisor gave her a reassuring look and said, "As long as you are standing with him, he will eventually open up to you. Oh right, I need to go back now. Talk to you later!" Erika waved him bye and she went back doing her work.

Erika couldn't forget what the advisor said, she kept on thinking about the General.

"Ugh! Stop thinking about him. He doesn't even see you as his woman. Stop thinking about him!" Erika messes her hair up and sighed.

"Hey! Are you close with the General?" One guy said.

"Who are you?" Erika asked.

"Doesn't matter who I am. Are you close with the General?" He was getting impatient.

"What are you trying to do? Are you going to hurt the General?" Erika asked.

"Where is he!?"

"Whoa there. Why are you yelling at me?" Erika took a step backward.

"Take me to the General!" He yelled.

Oh great another one.

As they got to the top floor, Erika reminded him.

"If you hurt him one bit, I won't forgive you."

As if they listened...

When Erika knocked on the door, General was talking to his secretary.

"Excuse me. This gentleman wants to have a talk with the General. I'll wait outside." Erika gave that guy a death stare.

"You can leave." He told his secretary to leave the room.

The secretary went to do his work while Erika waited outside.

After a while, Erika was curious so she peeked inside to eavesdrop on the conversation.

"Hey!" Erika turned around to see the advisor.

"You aren't allowed to eavesdrop over here. If it's the General, he will chop your head off." Erika covered her mouth and gulped.

"Haha, just kidding. The General won't hurt you." Erika was relieved.

"Hey that's a bad joke!" Erika pouted.

Suddenly, Erika saw a gun behind the guy's belt and he began to pull it out. Erika rushed in and yelled, "General!" Erika used her body to protect the General.

"You can shoot me. Don't you dare shoot him." Erika was shocked at herself for saying that.

"Who told you to be here?" Erika asked.

"Say it!"

"HAHAHA...do you think I'll tell you? You should know it, General. It's your old pal." The guy laughed.

"Get out!" It was the first time Erika heard the General yell.

"James!" James obeyed and brought the guy out.

Erika stood beside him not knowing to say.

"I'll wait outside." Erika told him.

General König grabbed Erika's arm tightly.

"General?"

"Erika, you know I have lots of enemies right?" Erika nodded.

"Why are you by my side? You're suppose to hate me!" He yelled.

"Why should I hate you? You're doing everything with a reason right?" Erika explained.

"Leave! Leave! LEAVE!" Erika looked at General's icy glare and was unable to turn away.

"General, I know you won't hurt or kill anyone without a reason. But right now, even if you tell me to leave. I won't leave because I like you!" There, she said it. She finally spit it out.

"Don't like me, I don't deserve anyone. LEAVE!" The General started to tremble.

"You're hurt from your past right? You want someone to understand you and stand by your side, right?" General König released his hand, Erika took his hand and held it tight.

"Even if other people don't understand you, I want to try to understand you." Erika calmly said.

After a while, the General calmed down.

"Stay." The General held onto Erika's hand tightly. Erika nodded.
