5 Chapter Five: The Rescue

'What happened sir?' the officer said.

'Sir, aren't you forgetting something?' Ionen said laughingly.

'What sir?' the officer asked.

'Sir, do you know where to go?' asked Ionen.

All of us gave a blank expression as he said these. Nobody except Ionen could apply this common sense that before going somewhere we must know the location of our destination. Finally we all broke out in laughter. But I too wondered that who were these criminals and how did Ionen know about them and their address too. Andrew, our client too never mentioned anything like that.

'So sir,' the officer said. 'Tell us the address please.'

Ionen handed over the paper in which Andrew wrote his address to the officer.

I was just about to exclaim but I stopped myself in afraid that I would again get scolded by Ionen.

We all went to the jeep and settled ourselves.

'Sir,' said Ionen to the officer as the driver started the engine. 'My companion's bike is parked in front of your police station.'

I had totally forgotten about my Harley Davidson. But this time, the police officer hadn't. He laughed and said. 'Sir, I haven't forgotten about that. I have told my constables to keep a sharp eye on that.'

We soon started our journey and we soon reached their. It was a small old mansion that was completely isolated. Ionen said the officer and his constables to hide behind the windows with revolvers and be ready and he told the officer to use his sniper and scan the entire room in search of men hiding somewhere.

Ionen went towards the door and knocked it.

'Who is that?' came Andrew's voice from inside.

'It's me, Mr. Delbis.' cried Ionen.

'Come in sir, the door is open.' said Andrew and Ionen entered.

We all went to the windows. It was a very clumsy hall room with three sofas surrounding a glass table. The room was very suffocating and untidy. The boy told Ionen to sit in the sofa facing the door and he sat in the sofa towards the right of Ionen. The officer was still scanning the room with his sniper and saw a man hiding behind the cupboard behind Ionen. He was pointing a revolver towards Ionen. The officer fired with the sniper and the bullet went through the man's ankle. He screamed and fell down. Both Ionen and Andrew exclaimed and turned towards the cupboard, seeing the senseless body of the man. Ionen quickly stood up, held Andrew's hand and ran outside the house. He handed over the boy to a constable and we all entered the house.

All the policemen were carrying a riffle in their hand. We came across the entire mansion and found out about ten wanted criminals and about five innocent children. Among them, four were girls and one was a boy. We boarded all the criminals and innocent kids inside the jeep and went to the police station. The criminals were all packed inside the jail and all the innocent children were kept securely in the police station. And the operation of searching their parents was soon started.

At the end of the day, the officer told us to stay back for an interview. I was very excited for it because finally I was about to know all the mysteries of this incident. We had our lunch in the police station itself and then we finally settled for our meeting.
