7 Chapter Seven "Leelan & Nayla

POV LUCK and Third person

Me and Leelan were about 5 years old and we usually have practice with our fathers and the Beta. I hear my father, Gamma of the clan, say how late the beta is today. We are used to seeing the Beta here early and already practicing but not today. Our fathers call us to stand next to them as we see the beta headed our way, but he was walking slow and what is he carrying in his hand? The closer he gets we notice it's not something it's a someone! When he greets us the little girl hides behind the beta's leg. The Beta was all smiles, "Sorry for the lateness but someone was hard to wake up for their first day of training. Alpha, Gamma, Leelan and Luck. I would like you all to meet Nayla…. My Daughter." He says it so proud. "She will train with us for now on since she will be the future Beta of our clan."

Alpha kneels down, "Future Beta Nayla it is so nice to finally meet you. Your father always talks about you." He puts out his hand for her and she finally steps out from behind her dad's leg and bows to the alpha. While the parents were talking about how cute and respectful she is, I turn to look at my best friend and he has his mouth open and says, "How beautiful" I knew Alpha is going to have a hard time for him to pay attention now, Leelan doesn't like practice now so I know with Nayla here… Oh geez.

Nayla was a year younger but she caught on fast, real fast. The beta was really proud of his daughter's agility to surpass me and Leelan. Every day Leelan would bring Nayla flowers, He said Dad would bring flowers to his Mom and receive a kiss so he would hope for the same results. I heard Alpha tell Beta, "I think we are going to be father in laws in the near future." As they laugh Beta turns to look at Nayla who never takes the flowers but just runs to practice.

When we were about 8 or 9 years old, we were under the stars talking about Mate Day that just passed. We were laughing about how our parents were acting. Then Nayla said, "I can't wait to find my mate and have love like my parents do. Having a mate is our blessing from the Goddess, Me and my wolf will treasure him for all our lives."

"Nayla I can't wait to be your mate. We will have lots of pups! And you will be my Luna. I can't wait to mark you as mine." Leelan said coming close to kiss her.

"Leelan, No I am saving my first kiss for my mate. I don't know if you will be my mate only the Goddess chooses that blessing." As she looks up at the stars, "I can't wait to meet him."

After that, Leelan would go to our chapel and leave peace offerings to the Goddess. I finally saw him and asked what he was doing. "I am praying to the Goddess to make me Nayla's mate and leaving my offer." He said happily.

He did that everyday til his 11th Birthday when he finally connected with his wolf. He got up that morning and ran to Nayla's house. He just opened the door to find no Nayla but her mom cooking. "Good Morning young Alpha, are you looking for Nayla? She is already out practicing with her father by the lake." Nayla's Mom said with a big smile. When he started to run again towards the lake she yelled, "Come back with them to have breakfast with us!!"

He saw the Beta, so he knew Nayla was somewhere close and he yelled, "Nayla!!!" She jumped out of the trees and pounced on him laughing, "Good Morning Leelan, Happy Birthday. Um.. what are you doing here?" He takes a big whiff of her scent and frowns. The Beta picks up his daughter and greets Leelan and notices his frown. "Nayla, climb 5 more trees and jump 10 more trees, then run the lake til I call you. Now go." Nayla nods in agreement and disappears. "Leelan, a mate is a precious thing to have. I thought I would never have one. But when it does happen remember to take care of the gemstone you have. Sometimes you wish for something but get another, with that you need to know to cherish the moments and things you do have and get. My daughter is beautiful like her mother and tough and strong like me, she is someone's gem, Leelan. I know you wanted her to be yours but life make turns you don't understand." With that the beta turns calls for Nayla. "Come Leelan let's have food. It helps." As he walks to the house.

Leelan was heartbroken, he wanted Nayla, she was his all. When me and Leelan were chilling in his room on day we heard the beta yell through the link "Rouges!!! We are under attack. East side Luna is running back to packhouse." We all ran out but it was too late the Luna was killed and the Beta was full of blood but it didn't smell like his. Alpha was hurt then turned to anger. He blamed it all on the Beta. When he commanded to kill the beta and his family, I never seen the Beta to take an alpha down so easily. We were in the house getting ready for the Luna's funeral, when Leelan was going out. "Son, where are you going?" Alpha asked.

"I'm gong to see Nayla she must be hurt. She is about to lose her father Dad!" Leelan answered.

��That family is dead to us Leelan! He killed your Mother!" Alpha yelled.

"No Father, Mom was too weak to protect herself! Beta saved us from further harm. If mom was strong like Nayla then she could fight the one rouge that attacked her!" after Leelan finished all we hear was a Slap and Leelan was on his butt.

"Take Leelan to his room and No One lets him out." Command Alpha. That night Leelan snuck out to go see her.

He tapped her window and when she opened it, he asked," How are you Nayla?"

She had tears in her eyes, it was tearing leelan's heart seeing them fall. "I wish I can say goodbye to him."

"Wish granted, Come with me." Leelan held out his hand as she took it.

He took her to a secret passageway to the dungeons and there she saw her father, he let her go in alone, so she can have a private talk. When she came out Leelan was surprised at the hug he was engulfed in. He loved how close she was to him. "Come let me take you home Nana." When they reached the house, she faced him, "Thank you helping me see my father Leelan. I know you can get in big trouble for this."

"Anything for you Nayla." Leelan said. It must have hit a spot in her heart cause the next thing she moved and kissed his cheek. Leelan was frozen on the spot. "I-I t-tthought you were saving that for your mate?" he questioned in shock. She giggled and said "Just incase your father finds out what you did tonight and kills you, at least you had a kiss before you died." She went back in the house and he walked back to the pack house on Cloud Nine.

A year later Leelan became Alpha at the age of 17. Nayla was no where to be found. When his father died Leelan tried to get Nayla to become his Luna. I was outside when he first tried, and it didn't end well for him. We had to take him to the pack doctor to fix his broken bones. I tried to tell Leelan she is waiting for her mate and she isn't gong to get cave in, but that didn't stop Leelan from trying.

I lost count on how many times Leelan failed until one day Nayla paralyzed him for a week before he caved into her request. Then she came back and released him. But that just made Leelan think of other routes to take, more ugly ones. He knew her mom wasn't doing well so he told the pack doctor to not help the Omegas. He waited in his office looking out the window like he knew she would break. One year passed and she came flying through the door crying, "Leelan my mother is sick, and the doctor won't see her. Please help her. I can lose her."

"I can help but only if you become my Luna. I can put you back in your old house and have the doctor attend her every need." Leelan said with a smile still looking out the window.

"I can't be your Luna. I have a mate, one day I will have him. Please Leelan. I'll do anything else just save my mother." She requested

"Fine, become my mistress for the time and I will honor my offer." He turned to look at her.

Nayla was shocked at the request. She was out of moves. Then out of Leelan's shock she nodded in approval. Leelan has finally won.
