Insufferable boss

Mr Mar was sitting on the office chair when I entered.

"Good EVENING sir." I made sure to put enough emphasis in the evening to tell him the time in case he's thinking of keeping me here.

At least he won't do anything if I remind him of the time.

He didn't reply to my greetings, instead, he kept on reading through the files he has opened.

He acted as if I'm not nonexistent.

" Good Evening, Sir!" I greet, the force I made use of enough to scare a baby.

"What's so good about the evening if you can't allow me to concentrate?" He frowned at me.

"I've been standing there for more than …"

"A minute. You've been here for a minute."

"That's right." I nervously chuckle, "I've been here for not less than a minute. I see." I force a smile, my cheeks hurting from the exertion.

"It's better you learn not to lie. There's no place for liars in my office."

"Okay, sir!" I salute him. My eyes mocking the sir I put in my words.

Had it not been for the fact am only here for Bin, I would have left after meeting him. Someone like Mr Mar isn't worthy to be called a boss. He's far better in whatever hellhole he came from apart from being in this place, ordering everyone as if he owns us.

"Get the files for me." He points to the files he has on the table. Files, he only needs to stretch his hand a bit to get them.

"But they're in front of you." I point out in exasperation.

How can he ask me to get a file that's in front of him?

"Are you trying to act disobedient, or is this your way of acting rebellious?"

" Not at all, sir." I hasten to his side. Picking up the files from the table in front of him, I held them in front of him. "Here are your PRECIOUS files, sir," I emphasize the precious. Rolling my eyes a bit, I darkly glare at him.

" Keep it back where you saw it." He instructs without looking up. Leafing through the files he has in hand, he looks disinterested.

"You asked me to get the files and I did, the least you can do is to look up and confirm I got the exact files you requested for."

" Keep it back where you got it. I do not need him as of now. I'll take it up when I need it." With eyes still on what he's reading, he motions for me to return the files.

"But…"

"Are you trying to question the authority of your boss? I asked you to drop the files, and you're having a problem with it?" He finally raised his face, his too yellowish-green eyes staring straight at me.

I scoff inwardly. Giving him a very dark look, I returned the files to their place and retraced my steps back to where I was standing before he asked for the files.

I stood there for a long time waiting for his order or something close to that, but the devil's incarnate didn't acknowledge my presence at all.

Sorting files after files, he acted as if there was no one currently standing in front of him.

Checking the time on my watch, I found out it's now 4:45. Forty-five minutes since I left my office to this place.

"Sir," I call his attention to me, but he didn't reply. "Sir," I try once more, this time I made my voice audible.

"What's it?" He snapped at me. "Can't you see am busy working, why must you disturb me?" He asked in anger, his eyes taking a very bright hue.

The expression he had on his face made me swallow deeply. Giving me a look, he turned his focus on me.

"I apologize for the disturbance, sir, but I need you to be aware of the fact. I'm here, and I've been here for a long time now." I grin instead of knocking him on the head like I've envisioned numerous times now.

"I can see that." He checked the time, tilting his head to a side, and he gives me a look. "I thought I asked you to get some coffee for me, why haven't I seen any here?"

" Wait a minute, "I glare at him," one, you didn't ask me to get any coffee for you, and another thing is this, who takes coffee by this time of the day?"

" Get some coffee for me. I need to have one." He said without answering my question. He acted as if I didn't ask any questions.

"Okay, sir," I made to leave the office. The faster I get his coffee, the more time I'll have to rest before I finally leave for the day.

"I drink it dark, and another thing, you need to buy it from Meka's favourite Café. "

" Whose favourite Café?" I turn to him in question.

" Meka's." He checked the time, "I am expecting you to be back within ten minutes, and if you're not back…

You already know what will happen."

" You…." I point at him.

" Your time has started counting." He said I'm a smug tone. " You better make good use of the time before it ticks."

Giving the devil's incarnate a very dark Stony look, I walk out of the office, and towards the elevator.

"I'll make sure I get him back for all he's doing now."

Wait until I conclude my task, and get myself unbidden from the promise I made to Meka and Bin.

Only then will I show him pepper. I'll make sure he gets to know how much I resent all he's doing.

Pressing the elevator to our floor *the one I walk on* I thought about how to get the name of the Café since he's too stuck up to tell me where the god-damned Café is.
