1 Awakening

He slowly opened his eyelids. He was hungover and his head was throbbing. He rubbed his head with his hands and looked around, slightly startled. He wondered where he was and searched his memory. The last thing he remembered was going to a bar with a hot woman.

"Ding!"

What was that sound?

"Hello host, the infinite dimensional treasure box system is at your service."

A system? Like the ones he read about in Webnovels?

"Yes host, this system is the one that will take you to greatness."

"Did you bring me here? Where am I?"

"Yes host, you died from a blood clot in your veins and the system will only serve you. Its only purpose is to take you to greatness."

"Where is this then? Where am I now?"

"You are currently in The Walking Dead universe."

"What? You sent me to the zombie universe? Couldn't you find another universe? You sent me to a freaking apocalypse filled with zombies, not a positive universe like Friends How I Met Your Mother?"

Knock knock!

The sounds from the door made him focus there. All his hairs stood on end and his breath caught in his throat as he thought the door would break and a zombie would come in and eat him.

"Damn it system, help me! Give me your advantages, my starter gift pack!"

"This system does not have a starter gift pack. As you kill, boxes will be stored in the system area and people, materials, information, templates, powers, etc. from all universes throughout the omniverse will come out."

"So you mean if I kill a zombie, a box will drop and Superman's blood could drop from that box?"

"Yes, but what comes out of the boxes will be related to your power level. If you kill the zombie outside the door right now, what will come out of the box will be a simple gun, knife, etc."

He started to think about what was happening. He was Alex Wild, a normal person. He had gone to a normal school and finished his education with a normal university. And now he found himself in an apartment in The Walking Dead universe. And outside the door was a zombie that could break the door down and kill him at any moment.

Damn it!

He knew The Walking Dead universe. He was a fan of zombie movies, series and anime. He had watched The Walking Dead series 3 times. That was a lot for a person who normally only watched a movie once. He knew that TWD zombies were attracted to sound, smell and sight.

I need to kill the zombie right away, before it attracts more zombies.

He quickly got up and started rummaging through the rooms in the apartment. He found a baseball bat in the bedroom and a 40 cm knife in the kitchen.

He took a deep breath, calmed himself down and walked over to the door. He would open the door a crack, and when the zombie stuck its head through the crack, he would stab it in the head with the 40 cm knife.

He opened the door a crack. Suddenly, the zombie pushed the door open and fell on him. He fell to the ground. The knife fell under the couch. There was 3 cm between him and the zombie. His hands were on the zombie's neck.

Alex had to find a way to kill the zombie. He had to be quick, or he would die if another zombie came. He knew he had to destroy its brain. He examined the zombie's face. It looked like a light-skinned Irishman in his early 30s. An idea came to him as he looked into its eyes, and he sprang into action.

He pushed the zombie away with one hand. He put two fingers of his other hand together and stabbed them into the zombie's eye. A pain shot through his hand. The zombie was still moving. Alex moved again. His fingers reached the zombie's brain and he pulled it towards him, gripping it with his fingers. The zombie stopped moving and he heard a "Ding!" sound.

[You have won 1x treasure box. It will be stored in the box area.]

Alex collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath. At that moment, he heard a noise from the door. He turned his head and saw three zombies entering the room.

"System, open the box!" Alex shouted.

[You have won 1x Glock 17.]

"Where is the gun?"

- In the box area. Items obtained from the box will remain in the box area until you choose to take them out.

Alex quickly took out the gun and tried to fire it, but it didn't work. He didn't know how to use a gun. He started crawling backwards. How did it work? Focus, remember the movies! I didn't take off the safety! He quickly disengaged the safety and pointed the gun at the head of the zombie closest to him. He fired, missing due to the tension of the moment. He aimed again, this time the bullet grazed the zombie's cheek and exited from the back, but its brain was still unharmed. He fired once more, this time hitting the zombie in the head. He turned to the other two zombies and killed them in the same way.
