1 Ch. 1 The Beginning

A random man in college parties a little too hard one night and dies in his sleep. Upon his death a God takes his soul and tells him that he is going to the walking dead and will have to survive.

That's it. Nothing more and nothing less. No hi or bye.

The man wakes up as a six year old boy. He finds out that this boys name is Michael Parson. He finds out that the Parson family is very well off and has no shortage of money. He has dirty blond hair and blue eyes.

Michael has no idea when the apocalypse will happen, fo all he knows it could be tomorrow. So he tells his parents that he is worried about a bad event happening. They don't believe him but decide to make a bunker in their backyard and stick it with food, water and supplies.

Michael is homeschooled and is in the first grade. He tells his parents that he also wants to learn some fighting like in the movies. His parents only tell him that he can when he is older as he is too young, just what every kid loves to hear.

So Michael lives his life cautiously and doesn't make that many personal connections because he is preparing for the apocalypse. That changes when he was 7 because he got a sister and a brother. They were twins, and he knew that his life was about to get much harder. They were named Briana and Paul, Briana being a little older than Paul.

His parents were as you would expect, the typical too busy to be home other than to sleep. Michael was practically raising Briana and Paul. Sure they had caretakers but they changed regularly.

After many years it happened. Michael was training with a bo staff and whacking a dummy while the twins watched him in fascination. It was 2010 and he turned 19 a few months ago. The twins are now 12 but are still dependent on Michael. They all love each other, this surprised Michael because he didn't expect to care for anyone the way he does these two. He used to be an only child in his last life which he can barely remember. He doesn't even know anything about the walking dead anymore. He lost the notes he wrote down and only remembers Senoia Georgia being important and a farm. He also remembers Rick but not what he looks like, it has been over a decade for him.

While he was practicing he heard an alarm from a tv. It was just on for background noise but now there was an emergency broad cast. He heard that the people were cannibalising each other and that everyone should stay home. He immediately went to his siblings and took them to the bunker that was had a solar panel above ground to keep it powered.

After taking them down he started explaining that they would be living down there for a while because bad people would hurt them if they stayed above. They were scared but believed that their big brother would protect them. He went up and grabbed all the weapons, food, water, toys, medical supplies and portable solar battery packs. He took multiple trips to and from the house to the bunker. It was pretty spacious, at least for an adult and two kids. They had enough food to last them a while but not too long. They could safely have one light on in the bunker all day and not run out.

After a month they barely stayed sane.

They heard people try getting into the bunker but it stayed strong and they got bored and left after a week of trying. Michael marked out on a map the path they would take to try and find the farm. It would take them a week by foot if they stayed off the busy roads. Deciding that they need to leave soon or they won't have enough food for the journey.

He takes an extra week to scout the area around his house while the twins stayed in the bunker. He had few neighbors because everyone wanted a big yard to match their big house in the neighborhood. He had to take down a few of the zombies but they were easy enough with his bo staff and compound bow.

The houses were practically empty and destroyed. It seemed that someone decided to rob the houses. It scared Michael but he knew that he had to do what he can for himself and the twins.

Michael went into town and got lucky. He grabbed extra clothes as well as boots and shoes for him and the twins. Once he got back he also had a few extra backpacks and duffel bags.

He packed the bottled water, food, medical supplies, the battery packs, and some toys.

They had four backpacks full and two duffle bags full. Michael didn't like carrying this much but knew it was better to bring it than to regret leaving something behind. He also noticed that the solar panel was broken a little and wouldn't have lasted that much longer because someone cut the wires but not all of them. It was a miracle they had power for as long as they did.

So Michael standing at 6 feet tall, packed with muscles not like a body builder but more like Captain America. He wore a white tshirt with a leather jacket that didn't restrict his movement and dark blue jeans. He knew he would be hot and sweating buckets, but he wanted the extra protection as well as looking cool. He had leather gloves but kept them off. He had a pair of sunglasses for himself and the twins. Briana and Paul loved them and kept saying how they looked cool and how they matched.

Michael took two backpacks and the duffle bags so Briana and Paul each had a backpack. The kids could carry the two lightest but they would be taking breaks often. Michael was able to carry the bags but would set them down if he had to fight more than 2 zombies at a time.

He tried to reach the twins about the dos and donts of the apocalypse but they are young so yeah. They set off on their journey to Senoia and tried to stick to backroads or stayed off the main roads.

What should have taken them 7 days ended up taking near 29 days. They came across a lot of zombie and he had the twins watch as he took care of them and try to teach them how to be quiet. They also raided a few places but never stayed more than a night at one place. Michael kept his jacket unzipped but never took it off. Lets say he consumed a majority of their water supply.

They were next to a road when a herd of zombies appeared out of nowhere. He tossed all the bags to the ground and grabbed Briana and Paul. He ran down the road a bit to put some distance between them and the hoard. He got off the road and found a big tree with sting looking branches and helped the twins climb it. After they got up he joined them and waited until the hoard passed 30 minutes later. He decided to stay in the tree the rest of the day. He climbed down and made sure the area was clear before he went to get the bags and brought them to the tree. He wanted to stay at the tree until the next day to make sure the zombies were long gone.

The next day he climbed down and told the twins to wait while he checks the area again. It was early morning and it was bright.

The area being clear he got Briana and Paul down and went back to their bags. They continued following the road when there was a split. He decided that it's better to take the side road. It was only a small detour but he would rather be safe than sorry when it came to his siblings.

They followed the road for a while and saw another road that wasn't paved that went off to the side. Michael read the map wrong and went towards a small town if they continued on the paved road. It wasn't a big town but ya know.

They passed by some farms but he didn't recognize any of the names. Then he saw a mailbox that had 'Greene' and something told him that that was important.

Worse case scenario they had a place to sleep for a day or two. He may even loot the town a bit.
