37 Chapter 37 Meeting Alicia and Rescue

The next day, John was awoken when he heard noise from downstairs. John decided to stay in bed and wait for the intruders to come to him, on the map he saw they were blue dots.

He closed his eyes and waited a couple minutes later he heard footsteps coming towards the room. The door opened and then there was no sound, but he could see the blue dot get closer to him, when the person was right next to him, John's eyes burst open. His knife pulled out of its sheath and the blade now resting on the intruder's throat, his other hand over the intruder's mouth.

Looking closer at the intruder, John saw that it was just a girl around 20 years old. The woman had beautiful features. Her smooth brown hair, an oval face, blueish green eyes, luscious lips, and smooth skin.

Seeing her eyes show fear and start to tear up, John hurriedly let her go. John said, "I'm sorry, but you snuck up on me. I have picked up the trait of light sleeper. I have been living out there".

Alicia's seeing that the strong man in front of her had let her go and apologize to her, she relaxed some. She wiped her tears and asked him, "Have you really been out there? What is it like out there?"

John looked at her curiosity and said as he sat on the bed, "It is quite harsh out there. There are some really nasty people. I have saved multiple women from being raped."

Alicia looked shocked, "RAPE! OMG!"

Hearing this a young man came running upstairs, the same young man he had saw on the roof yesterday. The you man came charging over and tried to punch John, but John grabbed his wrist and then judo flipped him onto the bed.

Alicia watched this happen in awe, she was surprised by John's strength, even though she could see the muscles on him through his tank top.

Before the situation could get out of hand Alicia stopped the boy from trying to punch John again.

She said, "Calm down, Chris! What are you doing?!"

Chris stopped and looked at her saying, "I'm saving you. You shouted rape, so I thought you were in trouble."

Alicia says, "He didn't try to rape me, he told me about what he has seen outside, in the world."

Chris says, "From the outside", then he seemed to have an epiphany, remembering the light he saw yesterday.

He said, "You're the one that made that light yesterday".

John said, "Yeah, I was scouting this place out yesterday. Seems like the military is still around here."

Alicia asked, "What do you mean here? The military isn't in control where you are from? Where are you from by the way, umm?"

John says, "Oh yeah, I'm John. I came from Georgia and the military was overrun there. Many military outpost can be seen completely destroyed."

Alicia says shocked, "What".

Chris saying at the same time, "Holy Shit."

John then asked, "What's your name beauty?"

Alicia blushes a little and says, "Hi, I'm Alicia. Nice to meet you, John".

John says, "What's the deal with the military here? They seem more like a militia."

Alicia says, "They are a little controlling, and we have a strict curfew we have to follow."

John says, "That must suck. So, what do you guys do all day?"

Alicia says, "Chris just goes around taking pictures and I ride my bike around to spend my time. It gets super boring here."

John says, "Yeah, I can kind of guess that. It's better to be free and struggle than to be a caged bird. You should come with me.

Alicia and Chris look at each other, Alicia says, "Where would we go?"

John said, "I have a group back in Georgia. We have a nice base as well, it's safe there."

Alicia says, "We could come with you, but we have to tell our family."

John said, "No problem. You could bring your family along as well."

Alicia and Chris say, "cool", at the same time.

John the asks, "Why did you come to this house anyway."

Alicia says, "We came to mess around with the expensive stuff. Maybe dress up in fancy clothes as well."

John says, "Well why don't we do that and when it gets darker, I could follow you back to your house and talk to your family. I could convince them to travel back to Georgia with me."

Alicia says, "Sure!", Chris nodding as well.

Alicia then went into another room and came back again wearing a fancy black dress and pearl around her neck. John looked at her for quite a while, Alicia looked like a princess in these nice clothes.

John walked forward and said, "May I have this dance your highness"

Alicia took his hand and they started to dance, their bodies rubbing against each other stimulating them as John kissed her neck. She shivered slightly, looked up and they were about to kiss when they heard a noise from downstairs.

Looking at each other John noticed a blush on Alicia's face, they looked toward where they heard the sound. It came from downstairs; they walked down the stairs and saw Chris breaking expensive vases and shit. They looked at each other and then joined in and had some fun.

After a while they stopped, and Alicia went upstairs to change back to her clothes. They then led John to their house, but John had to hide in the bushes, the military had raided Alicia's house and taken 2 people, a women ran after them and joined them.

When the military left John enter Alicia's house from the back door, but a Mexican man had pointed a shotgun at him. John disarmed the man in seconds and had the shotgun now pressed to the head of the Mexican man.

Looking around John saw everyone looking at him, he said, "What?"

Alicia then ran over to him and said, "Wow! That was awesome John. How did you do that?"

John replied to her, "I have been surviving out there for a while. I have learned many skills, also I have some military experience."

John removed the gun from the man's head and asked Alicia, "Did you tell them about my offer?"

Alicia said, "Yeah, but we can't leave without my brother Nick, Ofelia's mother and Chris's mother, Liza."

John said, "Oh. Those people that were taken by the military."

Madison and Travis both said, "Yeah, that's right. We have to save them and then we can go with you."

John said, "Okay, where is their main base? I will go there and get them back."

Hearing this the group was skeptical but seeing John's skills they thought he might be able to do it. Salazar then went and grabbed one of the military officers when he was alone and interrogated him until he told them the location of the base.

John then left, jumping over a fence, he ran to the base. He snuck through the back using his Map to find blind spots. John then infiltrated the building by going through a parking garage. With his pistol out John walked through a door.

John walked through the hall and at the next corner there was a guard, John snick up behind the guard and stabbed him in the head. His knife going, through the man's chin and piercing his brains. John then dragged the body back and into a storage closet before he wore the man's clothes.

Walking out John continued to where a mass of blue dots was collected. He could see three more guards using his map. He decided to pick up the pace and just shoot the guards with his pistol. Running through the hall John shot the guards and he was now in a large room that had people locked up behind fences.

John then looked-for Nick based on the description he was given, finding him quickly he broke the lock off and grabbed Nick and told him to follow him, a black man had also followed him. John also broke the locks on the other fences and continued forward going toward the medical bay. Walking through some tunnels John arrived at the medical bay.

John asked nick to tell him if he saw Liza or Ofelia's mother. They continued through the area and John looking at the Map saw 3 blue dots. Moving towards them, John arrived in front of the dots, and Nick told him that those were the people he was looking for.

Nick told Liza to follow him, the other lady was a doctor, and she was surprised to see someone breaking people out. John walked into the room where Ofelia's mother was. Seeing that her foot had been cut off, and she was barely conscious. John picked her and carried her over his shoulder as he began to go the way he had come from with the group following him.

Eventually they had arrived back at the parking garage and seeing that the women he was carrying was now unconscious, John set her on the ground. John then busted a car window open before he climbed in and hotwired the car. John then places the unconscious old lady into the car as everyone hopped in. John then drives back to the neighborhood; he parked half a mile out and told everyone to wait for him. John then ran back to the neighborhood, but he cut the fence behind Alicia's house. So, they could leave sneakily, John walked into the house and told everyone to follow him.

They walked quickly to where he parked the car and saw Nick and everyone else waiting for them. They wouldn't all fit in the car, so John hotwired another car and they started driving away. John drove one car, with Alicia in the passenger seat, Nick, Ofelia and Chris were in the back.

Travis drove the other car and Madison was in the passenger seat, Daniel, Griselda, and Liza were in the back seat. Strand had decided to go to his boat instead of coming with him. Travis followed John as they headed towards Georgia, they stopped a couple hours later to rest. John cleared a small motel for them to rest.
