Chapter 2: Girlfriend?
"Welcome back to the land of the living, Mr. Chapman." This is what a nurse that was attending to me had said. "Hi, may I know your name?" I asked. "My name is Charlotte, You have been in a coma for 2 years so your memory might be hazy do you have any recollection of what happened?" The nurse replied.
I was thinking to myself the former owner of this body better not ended up in this state because he also tried to rescue some girl. "Sorry Charlotte, I have no memories of the events that took place." The nurse did not seem shocked, so she started to explain what happened from what the police had gathered. "I heard you tried to save a girl who was in your class from being raped, however, the guy had a knife on him and ended up stabbing you. What you didn't know was that girl has very rich parents and they put money into an account for you if you woke up. Also, that girl comes by at least once every 2 weeks."
I was furious because how can I be in a body that died the same way twice. After getting up the nurse was shocked because I did not have to go through a physio class to start walking again. After I got changed the doctors wanted to run some routine tests on me, so I had to patiently wait in a hospital room that I had now recognized as a VIP room as I was not sharing it with anybody else.
While waiting around I had almost forgotten that I have a system, so I thought Status Screen, after waiting for a moment nothing happened then it appeared right in front of my eyes.

After checking out his stats I was impressed, I could have a harem if I wanted but sadly that did not cross my mind as it would make things overly complicated. After the doctor came and took my blood and did a few more test to make sure that I was ready to be released. As I closed the door to the room where I have spent the last 2 years, there was a girl who hugged me from behind I was so shocked that I became paralyzed. "Josh is that really you, you woke up?" a cute girl spoke.
"Yes, what is your name? Who are you to me?" Josh quickly replied. The girl quickly released her arms around him and took a step back and asked: "You do not remember me?" I could tell by the searching look on her face that her heart was about to be broken so I quickly said: "I may not remember but what is stopping you from telling me about us." After I said this there was hope as well as tears in her eyes.
The girl took a breath for a second and then spoke "My name is Bethan Moore, I am your girlfriend and also the girl you ended up saving from that rapist. We are engaged but our parents did not know of it yet, we have been on several dates that went well In my opinion. We live together since you are an orphan and do not have anybody to live with."
I was thinking that it was good that I did not have any family to worry about, however being engaged made it complicated as he had to save this girl and her family. "You might not believe me Beth but the world will change in 10 days, I advise you to tell your parents and get them to come over to our apartment the night before," I said with confidence. After speaking beth took me shopping for new clothes and showed me where our apartment was.
