102 Wu TianLan's Prey

"Are we there yet?" Wu TianLan broke the silence once again. He didn't trust Wang ZhiYi, the man had been carrying him straight forward for what felt like an eternity already. The fog kept curling and coiling around them, and occasionally, a low humming sound echoed through the woods. It creeped Wu TianLan out, and he huddled closer to ZhiYi's chest, making sure he didn't touch the arrow.

"How many times are you planning on asking me that?" ZhiYi mumbled, his brows twitching from annoyance. "We are almost there."

"You say that every single time," TianLan mumbled as a twig snapping carried over to his ear, and he tensed. "What was that?"

"A twig snapping," ZhiYi breathed.

TianLan looked up at ZhiYi. The guy hadn't glanced his way even once during their trek through this place. It was awkward, to say the least. TianLan couldn't take the silence, so he babbled on, just to ease the stress and speed up the time.
