"Run, YueQin!"

White wisps of air added to the growing mist around her, as Wei YueQin hurried through the forest, her breathing ragged and pained. The sun was at its peak, yet within these thick clusters of trees, no sunlight could preach the densely growing foliage above. The temperature was near freezing, the moist air turning her thin robes damp and clinging to her body.

A low whistle cut through the air, barely noticeable, yet YueQin caught it and moved aside just in time. A silver arrow flew past her, cutting strands of her hair, before burying itself into a tree trunk with such force, the bark cracked along the tree.

"Hah!" YueQin laughed victoriously, despite running for her life.

"Don't grow cocky, YueQin. Huan GongZhu won't miss again! Keep running!" Lu YaYan ordered as she rode her horse besides YueQin, following closely at YueQin's attempt at escaping the island.
