4 Chapter 3

<Racheal>

It's a day off today at the salon, so we wake up late in the morning.

Both of us are sitting on a couch facing each other with a cup of coffee. I'm a little angry on Alina, thinking how could she not get up and witness the whole crazy stuff I have been explaining her about.

I then recognise Alina's face to be pale, almost like she was the one who had a nightmare.

"He called up again yesterday night," I say to no body particularly in the room but loud enough for Alina to hear. When she doesn't respond, I raise my head and look at her. She is staring at my face like I'm the villian here, but then she lowers her head and looks back at her coffee mug.

"I tried to wake you up Alina! But you didn't even budge your body from the place. I was so scared, you have no idea. He's scaring the hell out of me," I speak again.

Alina looks up again with a slow voice  says, "Racheal there wasn't any call yesterday."

I look up at her in amusement, "Seriously, is this how you are going to explain your actions last night. Look, I understand it's not your problem. But I'm scared and you being here was such a moral support. I'm blessed to have a friend like you. But, you gotta stop this joke now. I myself attended the call and spoke to that creep!"

Alina has no expression at all but only that pale face of her. " No Racheal, you didn't pick up any call. There wasn't any call yesterday. Your... Your phone is dead for almost 2 weeks now!"

That sentence has me shiver for a quick second. I suddenly jerk my head in a quick motion to look at the telephone that's lying on the age old phone stand, and then stare at her grey eyes.

Her face gives out that confident look, like she just shared with me a true fact. No! No way is my phone dead! Or is it actually not working? Is Alina right? Then what about all the calls?

I just want to bang my head now.
