11: Big day

"Hmpff!...Catherine huffed throwing herself on the newly laid bed of their hotel room. Her day had been fun as she toured the grounds of the city with her father. She made new friends as she smiled when the memory of the friendly yam seller that she encountered in the market swarmed to mind."Oyinbo o...omo yeye osun, omo yemoja,kaabo...was the tune the woman sang with a melodious fluency in her language and with much enthusiasm as she had spotted Catherine walking behind her father. She wondered what the woman must have been saying...*no need to feel all that special now dear...*

Walking down the streets of osogbo was thrilling and different. She felt lighter in her steps as she seemed so different in the place yet so familiar at the same time. The warm air danced on her skin and she knew for sure that it was going to leave a tan. Her father expertly weaved his way through the crowd like he was following a path, confident in his steps and curious with his eyes. She had never seen this look on her father and she had to admit...It did quite fit him.

Millions of pictures were taken of her and her father and even her new made friends. After a long tour, they finally made it back to the hotel.

Edward was more frantic than ever as he hurriedly put on his watch whilst arranging some documents...cussing all the way through. "Ready...dad"...she said rolling her eyes. "Erm...ye..a..I'll be right with you...go..go meet kay in the lobby. He'll be taking us"...He breathed waving his hands distracted. "Yea yea...take alll the time that youu need"...she teased before walking out of the door. Upon getting to the hotel lobby, she immediately spotted Mr kay as he waved.
