46 Dreams.

'Get out of the house!', shouted father of 19 year old Arjun. Arjun's father was furious that his son has lost 50,000 in a bike racing competition. He walked angrily towards his son and held him by his collar and asked "Do you know how much money have you wasted? 50,000 rupees! That is my salary for two months i.e. 60 days of my income and you have lost it in just 60 minutes." Worried about his son's future more than the money lost, he pleadingly said "Racing is not for middle class people like us, please concentrate on your studies." Arjun who wasn't interested to study further expressed that he wanted to quit studies, join a racing club, and become a professional bike racer. His mother's words also did not convince him to change his mind. Arjun's father went ballistic at the adamant nature of his son. His anger dominated his love for the son at that moment and he shouted "Get out of my sight."

Arjun walked out of the house and hit the road on his trendy RC-200. His mother was worried as to where his son was going at this late hour in the night. It was 20 minutes past 11:00 in the night and that too on the eve of New-year. He rode towards his favorite Nice road which would give him an opportunity to drive at full throttle. He drove at 120kmph and had tears in his eyes. It was difficult to say whether the tears were because of the chilly winter breeze or because of the incidents that have happened earlier. Before he could think any further his bike stopped suddenly because the fuel tank was empty and so were his pockets. He was pissed off at his fate that day. He parked his bike by the side of the road and sat on the footpath and started staring at the sky which was pitch-black. Arjun was disappointed, dejected and depressed.

While he was thinking what to do next, a car had come and stopped on the opposite side of the road. One girl among the 3 people who got down from the car caught his attention. He immediately turned on the head light of his bike and pointed it towards the girl. There he sees an angelic beauty amidst the fog. He is mesmerized by her beauty and starts looking at her continuously. Her angelic, alluring and adorable eyes made him feel weak at his knees. The girl clad in a white chudidhar is taking little jumps like a kid before she lights off a flower pot. Then she begins the count down 3, 2, 1 and BAM!!!Happy New Year" and simultaneously the sparkling flower pot illuminated her face. The sky is covered with the fireworks across the city and the pitch dark sky turned bright just like the gloomy day of Arjun had become interesting with the arrival of the new girl. Arjun kept staring at her beauty in the lights of the flower pots and totally forgot about his bad day. At 5 minutes past 12, the girl decided to leave the place and opened her car door. That is when Arjun ran across the road to catch a last glimpse of her and if possible meet her. As he was crossing the road to stop the car, he could hear heavy honking and was alarmed to see a truck rushing towards him.

With this sudden shock in his dream, he woke up from his sleep. Similar to the loud horn from the truck, his father's angry voice startled him and woke him up. Actually Arjun came home after he lost the race and slept silently without letting his father know what had happened to the money. He was afraid that his father might be angry and didn't want to spoil his father's mood on new-year's eve. But now his father has got to know about the lost race and money and he angrily shouted "Arjun, Arjun!! Come here right now."

Before his father could say anything, he confessed that he had lost the money in a race. His father shouted "Get out of my sight!!" Arjun felt that he is living his dream and wanted to see whether the entire dream would turn into reality and started on his bike onto the Nice Road with the hope to meet the girl in his dreams or if I may call her, 'His Dream Girl'

On the way he finds a petrol bunk and then looks at his fuel indicator. That brings a big smile to his face because the fuel is almost empty.
