39 Comparison.

"You can never be like your sister. You are useless, dumb, a burden on me!" were the words of a mother. Vidya was unable to understand those words. She was thinking that what her parents want her to be, a unique human being or a clone of her sister. She has to face such kind of statements every day. "You don't eat the bitter gourd, learn anything from your sister!" "You are weak at studies, learn anything from your sister!" "You don't wake up early in the morning, learn anything from your sister!" "What is the issue with you? Why you cannot be like your sister?" Even after all this Vidya was never jealous of her elder sister, Shreya, because she knew it was not her sister's fault behind the behaviour of her parents. Vidya was compared regularly, sometimes with her sister, sometimes with her friends, sometimes with her cousins. Vidya was an astonishing girl, she had amazing talents, and she was an artist. Vidya was a debater, writer, poet, photographer, ideologist, philosopher, singer, and what not. But all her unique talents were not visible to her parents. All her parents could see was her inabilities. Vidya was not a failure in studies but an average. But one day she failed and the same day she won a debate. She went to her parents with a combination of good and bad news. Winning the debate was good news in her sight but not so significant in her parents view. The reaction of her parents over her failure was "What is this? This was only left to see! Your sister was the topper of her batch and you are a failure! Shame on you. You have insulted us. How will we show our face to the society?" "Why didn't I killed you in the womb?" After this she was broken, completely crushed. She was feeling guilty for the mistake she had never made. That night she was unable to sleep. She was thinking what her offence was that she got such wicked parents. She was thinking why she is alive when nobody is happy with her. That night was her last night. Vidya died because of a devastating disease COMPARISON. Her last words were,

"I can never be Shreya because I am Vidya..."

You can change,

You can't really change a situation,

And you can't really care,

Things will happen,

It is bound to happen,

You can only swear,

By the positivity around and in mind,

Then only solution you would be able to find,

So, stay positive in life,

To survive!
