5 The Vandenreich attacks

Normal P.O.V

Sato stood atop a rooftop looking down on the clothing store that acted as a front for the trigger rings funds warehouse.

Behind him stood 2 squads of droids their mechanic features hidden behind there black masks and billowing cape robes.

"What do the scans Show?"

Sato asked as he turned his head to the faceless masks, in response a droid stepped forward.

"Scans show multiple underground facilities further analysis shows the facility most likely split in two between storage and a production facility."

"I see when we breach you will all take the production facility, kill everyone."

Silence ensued as now all the droids had turned their masks towards Sato.

"Illogical It would be best to have an entourage follow you in cas-"

"I AM the one in charge, and as so I order you to take the production facility when we breach AM I CLEAR."(Poor Robot-San)

There was a standoff as Sato had fully turned around and was glaring at the machine.

"Affirmative"

"Good now begin the operation"

As Sato had finished his words he disappeared in a flash of blue with the robots following.

Sato P.O.V

I Hirekyaku in front of the store's door I felt the droids hide in the surroundings waiting for me to begin the attack.

Pushing the door inwards I take note of the present toward the back of the store I feel the presence perk up at the sound of the welcoming bell chiming.

The presence reveals itself to be a gruff man Studying me as he gets behind the counter I notice his left hand resting on an item beneath the counter.

"What can I help you wi-"

I interrupt him as I reveal my right hand and point it towards him I watch as his eyes widen at the sight of a reishi crossbow forming on my outstretched hand.

His left-hand grabs the item and he goes to pull the item over the counter but is too late as a reishi bolt pierces his throat.

I notice as his body slumps to the ground that I don't feel a thing at the thought of having killed him.

I can only let out a sigh of relief, I hoped I would not freeze up I couldn't have afforded it.

I realize now that someone strong must be able to kill at any given moment to take life without hesitation is what I must be able to do.

Walking through the back door I arrive at a room that looks like a resting area.

Looking to the back I notice a set of stairs leading downstairs. Turning around I flare reishi around me creating a blue aura around me.

At the signal, the droids file through the front door and begin rushing down the stairs.

I can hear shouting come from the stairs as the droids engage the few guards at the bottom of the stairs.

Stepping down the stairs I arrive at a concrete hall filled with three bodies of what I assume are guards.

Walking to the end of the hallway I arrive at a two way split sensing the droids having gone to the right I turn and begin walking down the left path.

I follow as the path curves and I am confronted with four doors two on each side.

As my thoughts roamed on which one to choose the farthest most left door opened and two men walked out.

"I swear dude I don't know how you can stay so calm guarding all that money I swear I have to bite my tongue to keep me from staring."

"Its called being actually good at my jo-Hey! Who are you?"

The men had turned to me and the man on the right had finally acknowledged my presence.

Deciding to stay silent I point out my right hand and form my crossbow firing two bolts before the men can react I watch with a passive face as their body fell to the ground.

Taking a second to wait for any reactions from the other doors I begin walking past all the doors.

As I walk past the last set of doors I hold my right hand out and catch the metal pipe heading to my face. Looking to my right I am met with the shocked face of another guard.

Throwing my cape out with my left hand I grab the handle of my spirit weapon I take the opening given to me by the man's shock and slash across his torso.

The guard looked down as the wound opened fully and the man fell to the floor clutching his chest in vain.

Stepping over him I continue walking down the hallway quickly I arrive at another set of stairs.

Walking down I am greeted with a weird room.

A wide space waits before me littering the space are steel beams the types used in construction work.

The steel beams are erected upwards towards the roof and leave a two-person space between each beam.

The only wide space is a walking space that leads to the other side of the room where my objective resided.

At the end of the room sat a steel vault wherein resided the stored funds of the trigger ring.

Walking down the space towards the vault I increase my perception to its limit with my spirit weapon hidden beneath my cape.

Noticing movement to my right I bring my sword out and swing towards the movement.

Fully turned around I am faced with one of the steel beams bending unnaturally swinging towards me.

My sword and the beam quickly connected, and I am thrown back by the force.

I hold out my arm ready to summon my shield when another steel beam bends and wraps around and constricts my arm.

"HAHAHA...So you're the one making all that racket well im impressed "

Looking towards the source of the voice I find myself facing a man standing on one of the beams.

The man Is short standing only shoulder length with me he has curly brown hair that curves around his forehead which is pushed back by what seems like balding.

"So kid your gonna die down here might as well tell me who sent you and ill make it quick."

Instead of answering I activate my Hirenkyaku and appear a couple of beams away from him. forming my crossbow I fire a couple of blue arrows towards the man.

Seeing the pale blue arrows the man grins and I can't help but want to kill this man all the more.

Instead of him being impaled I watch as the steel beams around him wobble before fully moving and impeding the arrows.

"Metal bending"

Hearing my mutter the man grins even wider before bursting into a full-on laugh.

"HAHAHA...your pretty smart kid and you're fast too but you were dumb not answering my question. "

As he finished talking I notice the beam im standing on wobble before bending to entangle my leg.

Jumping up I fire more arrows at the man only to watch as they are blocked again by the steel beams beneath him.

Avoiding the beams by constantly jumping between beams I decide to switch tactics.

Activating Hirenkyaku I start flashing around the man and constantly firing arrows towards the man.

Seeing this he smirks before having the beams fully encircle him forming a shield.

"Kid I like you, you definitely got my interest the names Suchīruratto you earned the right to know this exalted one's name, now die!"

Normal P.O.V

At Suchīruratto words the beam Sato was moving towards fell into the ground and Sato now stood in between beams.

Before he could move the beams around him folded inwards and slammed into his position. The resulting destruction created a smoke cloud blocking the area.

"That was a good workout kid a shame I didn't get to catch your name then again why would I need a dead man's name"

Suchīruratto lowered the beams surrounding him letting his guard down and was ready to jump from his beam but a cold emotionless voice made him freeze.

"To not confirm an enemy's death is a sin on the battlefield and one you'll pay for"

Directly behind Suchīruratto stood Sato with his cape now tattered and dirty and he was breathing heavily.

His skin was the same except now blue veins ran up his skin and if one had the ability to see would notice his wounds slowly healing. (Look up defensive Blut for a picture)

The biggest change was instead of his broadsword Sato now held both hands out which held onto a bow of blue energy taking the opening he had he pulled back an arrow and let go aiming straight for Suchīrurattos heart.

Suchīruratto seeing this knew he had little time to react and attempted to move the beam he stood on and pushed it up hoping to move him out of the way.

His reaction was in vain as the arrow was too fast and pierced right below his heart going completely through his body.

Losing his focus on the beams they all reeled to a stop some still bent in Unnatural ways.

Suchīruratto now laid on the floor bleeding to death his eyes were still wide open wondering how Sato had survived.

"How?"

With his last bits of energy, he muttered to Sato who still stood on the beam his hands now hidden beneath his tattered cape.

"You are too small-minded to know how just understand this my name is Sato Kazumi now die so I may complete my mission."

Upon receiving his answer Suchīruratto eyes lost there last bit of life. (Fun fact: Suchīruratto means steel rat in Japanese. )

Sato noticing the death jumped down and sat down leaning against the steel beam he closed his eyes and focused on healing with his Blut.

'Definitely working more on Blut when I return'

Sato ended his thoughts when he heard the arrival of multiple presences looking up he found multiple droids entering the room. Some had their cloaks tattered or burnt with even a few missing masks.

"Report what happened on your end"

"Affirmative all hostiles have been eliminated and the production facility has been rigged to explode with the ensuing fire burning the rest of the facility wiping out all traces of Vandereich movement. Furthermore, 5 units were destroyed securing the lab. "

Sighing at the good news Sato quickly turned to the steel vault and began giving out orders.

"I've secured the vault room on my own make sure you retrieve the contents that was our primary objective then begin ready for exfill."

"Affirmative will you be ready to move or have your injuries crippled you?"

"I will be fine"

With that, the droid nodded and began to give orders to the other two that had followed.
