Awakening

Amelia-

When Amelia woke up, she was confronted by a sharp pain in the back of her head. When she sat up, the pain increased, "Ah," She groaned.

"Good, you're finally up," A mysterious voice says.

"Where am I?" Amelia asks.

"You're in the infirmary. You've been out half a month." The person says as he walks out of the dark. He looked a lot like Henry, that's right, what happened to Henry? Amelia thought.

"Where's Henry?" Amelia asked. The look the man made told Amelia exactly what happened to him.

"I'm sorry, he didn't make it. We think he was killed in the rubble, according to Atreyu, he pushed you out of the way," The man says. That's right, Atreyu is the reason she had been knocked out that day. Amelia got off the bed, she was going to have a word with Atreyu.

Henry-

Each and every time they pull my fingernail off, the more I want to kill them. For some reason, my fingernails keep regrowing back, but instead of being like a normal fingernail, it grows back a shade lighter. "It's been two weeks since your capture, I'm surprised you're still sane," The vampire says while laughing.

I start laughing with him, "You know what, I think I finally broke," I say laughing more and more. The vampire walks away into a different room and returns a minute later with a sword. Well, this is it, this is the day I die. He unsheathes the blade and reveals my sword. "I've always wondered why these swords are so different, like why are they the only thing that can kill us?"

He doesn't wait for me to answer, he thrusts his arm and the sword pierces my stomach. "Well, would ya look at that, I got stabbed," I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't watch him stab me. He pulls the sword out, all I feel is the sword being pulled out, weird, no pain. I feel my eyes get heavier, well, I think this is where I'm going to die.

"This wouldn't have happened if you'd just let me take over for a mere ten minutes," A familiar voice says.

"Why don't you lend me your power?"

"Because, if I give you any more of my power, you will die," Yamata says.

"Damnit! Either way, I'm going to die. These vampires will kill me when they're done toying with me. At least give me a chance of getting out of this." I say.

"Fine, but don't blame me for what is about to happen." He snaps his fingers and my vision goes black.

I open my eyes to see a sword pointed right at my eye. Already I'm starting to feel Yamata's power coursing through my veins. "You should've killed me when you had the chance," I say grinning at the bastards. I feel the fire melt the chains around my hands and feet. I stand up and sprint at one of the vampires. I melt his face, his screams fill the room.

"What the hell are you?!" The vampires screams.

"I wish I could tell you myself," I say and sprint towards him. He swings at me and I block it with my hand, it didn't even leave a scratch! I disarm the vampire and swing at his head, he ducks and stumbles back. I don't let up on my attacks, I keep swinging at him. I knock him back against the wall and place the sword on his neck. "How the hell did you know we would be coming?!"

"P-please don't kill me," he stutters.

"I'll think about sparing you if you tell me how you knew we would be coming, now talk!"

"Y-yes, t-there was a boy named Atreyu who told us you would be coming. We were told to keep you here when they attacked the safe haven."

"Why me?" I say through gritted teeth. Damnit, why would he betray his friends?

"B-because, you're the most powerful at the safe haven."

"Then what's happening to the safe haven?" I ask, afraid of his answer.

"The rest of us were supposed to attack the safe haven," How did I know that would be his answer?

"Thanks for the information. Now die," I say letting my sword cut his throat. Now then, time to look for my sword. Damnit Yamata, where are you? Almost as if the sword itself heard me, it started glowing. I pick it up and attach the sheath to my waist. I walk out of the building and I'm greeted by the sun. Squinting my eyes, I slowly walk toward the gravel road.
