69 On Their Wedding Day

It was a bright day, not too hot and not too cold. The clouds above were full and fluffy. Birds flew on the horizon and gentle breezes twirled lightly through. The rustled bamboo leaves fell like soft raindrops.

In the sunny afternoon, General Lian's strong voice rang loud and clear.

"Bow to the heaven and earth!"

"Bow to the parents!"

"Bow to each other!"

Father Xu and Mother Xu beamed with joy. From the young innocent boy who was once quiet and distant, Khan Bojing had grown up to be a bright and upright man. With someone else to stay by his side, from now on, their restless hearts could finally relax.

When they were far away, there would be someone else to accompany him in times of sadness, loneliness, and pain.

The young couple dressed in matching wedding garments obediently paid their respects to the heaven and earth, their parents, and finally, each other.

With the red veil over her head, Li Wei could only see the small distance around her feet. In comparison to Khan Bojing's graceful movements, her bows were much more clumsy. At one time, he reached out to steady her.

After the main ceremony, Khan Bojing poured wine into two cups. Usually, he would be required to make a toast to all the guests and entertain them, but there was no one else. "Father, grandfather, I'll offer you both a drink."

Father Xu stopped him, "Just hurry and go. There's no use for you here. You lucky brat, you're having it so easy. "

"But father, according to traditions..." Khan Bojing protested.

General Lian started clearing the little wedding decorations. It was clearly over. "The only duty you have left is to give your father and mother a grandchild."

"..." He was in disbelief. Was this really his well mannered grandfather and reserved father?

Mother Xu placed her son's hand over Li Wei's. "Tomorrow morning, you can come pay your respects to your father and I."

Khan Bojing, who usually went by the rules, was baffled by the elders. He couldn't help but stared at the sky. The sun hadn't even set yet and they were to already enter the bridal chamber.

Li Wei, who stood there awkwardly this whole time, finally leaned over. "Husband..."

With that one call, a fire was lit in Khan Bojing's eyes. He took Li Wei into his arms and carried her away without wasting another moment. Damn the rules, there was no rules to follow today.

Behind them, Father Xu and General Lian exchanged knowing looks. They, too, were once like this with their wives.

Li Wei held onto his neck and her sweet giggles rang like the cheery melody of a song. His grip on her tightened and his steps hurried. She had no idea he would become so eager with one word.

It was only when they arrived in the bedroom of the other small house that Khan Bojing allowed her feet to touch the floor again. He didn't move at first, stealing a moment to himself and silently admiring the mesmerizing scene.

This was his bride, dressed in the traditional wedding gown, and seated on the bed waiting for him.

Li Wei smiled underneath the veil. "How long will you look at me?"

"Until I can believe that you're my wife."

"..." Exactly how long would that take?

He held her hands, caressing each finger delicately. "My wife is the most beautiful bride in red."

"You haven't seen me yet," She pointed out.

Khan Bojing brought her hand to his lips. "I don't need to see you, I just know."

Her heart skipped a beat. Somehow, she felt much more nervous than her first wedding. This was a wedding of mutual agreement, the joining of two willing people who were both deeply in love.

When the veil was lifted, he was first greeted with a beautiful smile. Her cheeks were slightly flushed and in the reflection of her eyes, there was only him. Khan Bojing was temporarily stunned. He had never experience a moment more magical.

Li Wei's smile deepened. "My husband is the most handsome groom in red."

Hearing the intimate call from his wife's sweet and coquettish voice instantly made his lips curled up into a satisfied smile. Khan Bojing was amazed. He didn't remember himself being such an easy person to please.

Li Wei couldn't stop laughing at his simple reaction. "Husband, you're smiling a lot today."

Khan Bojing's smile widened even more. "Of course, there's such a beautiful wife by my side."

Together, their arms intertwined and they exchanged the cups of nuptial wine. He wiped the corner of her lips where there was a trace of wine, his thumb lingering longer than necessary. "Xiao Wei, are you hungry?"

"En, I haven't ate all day," She answered honestly.

He led her into the kitchen where there was a table of food. This morning, he had woken early to prepare their first meal as a couple.

Li Wei glanced at the poorly cut vegetables, not really sure whether she should laugh or smile. What she did know, was she had never been so eager to eat overly cooked food.

Khan Bojing placed vegetables and meat onto her plate. "Don't be scared away, it tastes better than it looks."

"Truly...?"

Actually, he wasn't sure. He shook his head. "Hopefully..."

Li Wei came to a decision, she laughed. His usual shameless self was gone and he simply was too adorable.

"How is it?" He tentatively asked as she took her first bite.

She chewed slowly. "So far, not bad."

"Not bad..." He tested the response, realizing something. "Not good either?"

"Let me taste again, just to be sure." She took another bite and slowly, her eyes shone like jewels.

"How is it? Is the second bite better than the first? Has 'not bad' changed to delicious?" He urged her to quickly answer. His hopes didn't make sense, but that look in her eyes suddenly gave him the possibility of something wonderful.

Li Wei grinned amusingly. "The food my husband cooks is the best in the world."

Khan Bojing was overjoyed. No one else had to like his food. If his wife approved, then he was satisfied.

After the main dishes, he brought out the desserts and fruits. "Xiao Wei, sorry you're stuck with me until tomorrow morning."

She relaxed his frown. "Nothing sounds better."

"Won't you be bored?" He asked doubtfully.

"I can look at your handsome face for days and not feel the least bit bored."

Heat filled Khan Bojing's cheeks. Although he didn't speak, his reaction more than spoke for himself. "I-I thought you would be bored, so I prepared some things beforehand."

He took out ink and paper and they sat across each other. On his desk were various board games and his flute. Li Wei was almost worried. Just exactly how many activities did he prepared?

Khan Bojing was oblivious of her thoughts. He wholeheartedly focused on painting. His eyes constantly moved from her face back to the paper, determined to capture all her features.

On the other side, Li Wei's brush barely moved. She spent almost the entire time staring at him. From his thick eyebrows to his deep eyes and from his straight nose to his plump lips, each part complimented the others. Those soft pink lips especially caught her attention...

"Xiao Wei?" Khan Bojing looked up in surprise at her, who had come over wordlessly.

Li Wei reached over, her lips crashing onto his lips. He fell back onto the seat cushions on the floor and she tumbled on top.

The sun just touched the horizon, sending golden sunlight into the room. Li Wei was outlined by a bright glow. From underneath, Khan Bojing watched her. It was still hard to believe this beautiful woman with an equally beautiful heart was now his wife.

If anything, there was only one thing he regretted. "Xiao Wei, I shouldn't have given my words to your father."

At the mention of her father, Li Wei gasped. "I just got married without my father knowing!"

"What if your father disapproves and takes you away from me?" He asked.

Her eyebrows furrowed in deep thought, forgetting their ambiguous position. "My father, he shouldn't be that mean, right?"

"Am I a horrible man to have married Master Yue's daughter without his knowledge? Maybe we should really run away?"

Horrible? How could Khan Bojing ever be described as horrible? Li Wei seriously tried to imagine how her father would react to the sudden news of her marriage. Things wouldn't go as far as running away, right?

Khan Bojing pulled her onto his chest, his deep laughter creating flutters in her stomach. "How can my wife be this cute? If this is how you are every time I tease you, I don't think I can ever stop."

Li Wei pushed his chest, her lips forming into a small pout. "Husband, don't be mean to me."

Her soft voice tickled his heart unbearably. Khan Bojing brought her back into his arms. "Let's skip all the activities and jump to the last one."

How could a sentence sound so normal, yet, so sensual? They were a married couple, naturally, she knew what he meant. Still, Li Wei found herself unable to meet his gaze and buried her face into his chest.

Khan Bojing carried her onto their wedding bed and hovered above, his gaze sweeping down her petite frame.

Li Wei's heartbeat drummed loudly, her cheeks flushed, and she had no choice but to meet his unfaltering gaze. He pinched her cheeks before his lips moved downwards onto her neck and chest, his hands undoing the belt around her waist.

He was not used to the action, taking him multiple tries to get it to come loose. Soon, her outer clothes were opened and her upper body was exposed.

Under his fiery gaze, she couldn't help fidgeting. He kissed the birthmark on her chest. "This is our first time. Are you scared?"

His gentle voice warmed her up, sounding like he cared so deeply for her that an ounce of pain inflicted upon her would be intolerable to him.

Li Wei glanced at those lips which never lied to her. Only the heavens and her would know. The truth was, she suddenly wanted him to pamper her.

Just a little bit more.

So, she told him a little lie, "Scared."

Very generously, small kisses rained all over her cheeks. "Don't be, I'm with you."

Li Wei nodded, very pleased at his seemingly endless show of affections. Her arms hooked around his neck. "I'll be in your care, my sweet husband."

Khan Bojing was a woodcutter's son. His skin wasn't fair as other princes and his hands were callused from working outdoors. As gentle as he could, his fingers snuck into the thin upper undergarment. He treaded upwards from her slender waist to her chest, taking her breast into his hold.

"So soft..." He mumbled against her neck, his voice raspy and slightly out of breath.

Li Wei's hands were in his hair, then they were on his shoulders. From there, her fingers slid down onto his chest, taking pleasure on how his muscles trembled from her touch.

Before she could smile, a lewd moan escaped her lips as he took off the last piece of clothing on her chest and replaced the hand on her breast with his mouth. He played with the pink bud he long yearned to see since last time, his tongue twirling it in circles before sucking again.

With her eyes closed, the effects of his touch intensified a hundred times. Her hands clenched onto the bedsheets and her toes curled. A fiery sensation started to form within.

Li Wei rolled over, sitting on top, and made her own little explorations of his body. Her thumb caressed his ear and traced his jawline.

She even boldly slipped his shirt off and openly admired his toned abs, wiggling her eyebrows mischievously as her hands wandered around.

Her flirty, yet naughty behavior made him chuckle. "Having fun?"

She flashed a beaming smile. "En, lots of fun."
