2 Chapter Two: New Life, New Family

"How is she Doctor?" Theresa asked after Dr. Quintin checked her two eyes.

Weird. Didn't doctor always have a stethoscope with them? Why is he only checking her eyes?

"I can't find any abnormality Madam. But there's a possibility that she might be having a temporary amnesia."

"Temporary amnesia?"

"When a person refused to accept their reality, their brain would shut itself and forget everything related to the person, situation, etc."

"Then you mean that she might have forgotten about ..."

"There's a big possibility, yes."

"Oh," Theresa exclaimed and turned her eyes to her daughter who has her brows crinkled. She's really worried about her daughter, people can think that she's terrible but she think that this amnesia is like a blessing in disguise for them. Ever since Summer learnt that the Third Prince was unwilling to marry her, she started to be aggressive towards the Prince's closest servant who was the rumored lover.

"If there's nothing Madam, I'll be on my way."

"Thank you Doctor. Please be safe."

"Thank you." and the Doctor with a one-eye spectacle left with his bag.

"Baby," Theresa sat down on the bed and gently caressed her daughter's back. "You must be having a hard time right now but we'll take it one step at a time okay? We'll help you remember the past." she then pulled her daughter into her arms.

"Just consider this as a new family and us as a new family." she kissed the top of Summer's head.

It was warm.

For some reason Summer felt like she was being drawn to this warmth. New life, new family huh?
