34 Chapter Thirty-Four

He didn't know what caused her to be this way, however how could someone like him give up so easily?

He had fought through years of cultivation and even defied the ten big sects. If he couldn't handle a disciple than wasn't he too simple? He just needed to find out the weak point in her armor.

"I'm not looking for nurturing books on normal animals either..."

The girl murmured, making him come back to his senses. He looked at her in confusion, if she wasn't going to raise animals than what exactly was she going to raise? 

His head started to work hard as he tried to think about what she could possibly be looking for, however ended up with a blank.

Meng noticed that Rong You had ran out of answers and felt discouraged. 'As I thought, he know of any books that could help me with this issue.' 

Shaking her head sadly, she sighed to herself and reached for the book she was going to flip through before being interrupted. It looks like she would really have to search the entire library...hopefully Feng Qi can stay safe until then. 

"Wait!"  Rong You panicked when he saw the dismissal in her eyes. He wanted to answer the question in the first place to prove his right as an all-knowing master to her, but at this point it felt like he was stepping on his own foot!

If she didn't accept him then he wouldn't be able to gain her trust, stopping any plans of him breaking the armored wall around her mind.

Letting someone with this much potential go would lose him his right to even be called human!

"This old man might not be able to guess what you are looking for, but that doesn't mean I can't answer it."  He made his last stand to save his face while staring determinedly at the girl.

No matter what the question is he would without a doubt think of an answer for it.

"I want to know more about raising children." Meng said simply while flipping through the book in her hand.

She didn't expect him to really answer her, however how else could she get him to leave?

She had already been sleep for five days and didn't have time to waste talking. Feng Qi's future was at stake here, she couldn't relax until she found a way to undo her own mistake.

Rong You's face became dark when he heard her response. Raising children?  Wasn't she a child herself! What children did she have to raise!

He really wanted to smack himself for even thinking for a second that she would be serious about a matter.

Still, he had already sworn that he would answer her question. She made it clear that she didn't understand a thing about raising kids, therefore if he made up some things, she probably wouldn't notice...

Acting as if he wasn't fazed at all, Rong You let out a laugh. "Such a simple question? Come let's sit together as we discuss this. You should count your blessings today as this master knows a lot about this subject!"  

He motioned toward the right side of a couch before sitting down on the opposite side.
