57 Chapter Fifty-Seven

Meng's eyes glowed as she picked up another book from the nightstand.

The sound of pages flipping soon filled the air of the room making Su Lou pause and look over.

"You are cheating." Her cold voice cut into the sound of pages flipping, however Meng didn't stop flipping. In fact, it didn't even seem like Meng knew that Su Lou existed anymore.

Her brown, phoenix-like eyes, were completely devoted to the book. Unknowingly, her eyes had started to water up.

It had been so long since she actually enjoyed reading since she transmigrated. Until now she didn't even notice this fact as she was far too busy adjusting.

However, now, weren't all of these books an endless supply of fiction books on her favorite story? Unwittingly, Rong You had started up an addiction.

Seeing that she was going to be continuously ignored by the idiot Princess she decided to just sit and watch. No matter how much Princess Meng acted like she was reading the books, she could be there to make sure the truth was known.

Another book went on the pile of finished books, then another and another. In the end, all 5 books were perfectly piled up leaving only a dazed Meng. Looking at the books that were now sitting on the night stand finished, Meng rubbed her head.

Maybe she over did it a bit...

However, how could she possibly help herself? In her past life she always had her head in a book whether it was writing one or reading one.

Now coming to the conclusion that all books in the library were practically fantasy stories waiting to be read, her head filled with euphoria. Her hand reached out and she gently patted the books on the stand.

It was her first time reading those books and she already completed them so quickly. Meng shook her head. This was the only time she had ever been rude to a book, she would definitely have to treat them better later on and re-read them as soon as possible.

"Seeing that you are done should I go tell Master Rong yet?" Su Lou carelessly said with a sarcastic tone. She was leaned into the red arm chair with her head resting on her arm, giving off a demeaning aura.

As long as she was overseeing this effort she was untouchable, therefore why hold back? Her confident smile grew back on her face.

Meng looked up at her with questioning eyes. Finally taking time to unwrap herself from the blankets, she stood up and approached Su Lou.

The confident smile quickly froze and Su Lou's mind started to race.

Princess Meng wouldn't kill her regardless of Master Rong, right? After all, it seemed that the princess had accepted Master Rong as her master, she wouldn't dare disobey him.

Regardless of her comforting thoughts, Su Lou backed into her chair as far as possible. Her face paled at the sight of seeing Meng close in.

"Wh-what are you doing! Master Rong said this is for you greater good! You can't harm me!" Su Lou's time has become panicked and for some reason the mark where her arm used to be seemed to hurt more.

What would it be this time another arm or finally her head?
