54 Chapter Fifty-Four

In the back of the large library, past all of the books, laid a clearing of sorts between the book shelves and another wall.

The wall was made out of classic white stone bricks, and was decorated with objects. Some objects were as normal as paintings while others ranged from monster heads to formation symbols.

Calmly walking after Rong You, Meng suddenly paused without warning in the middle of the clearing. Her pupils shook as she looked at a line of light that had made a mark on the red carpet on the library floor.

Su Lou, who was following behind her also paused and looked at Meng weirdly.

Seeing that the girl was frozen and wasn't speaking, reluctantly Su Lou decided to act the part of a guard. At least, for the time being.

"Your highness, are you ok?" Su Lou said this while walking away, going to go look at other parts of the library. Alas.. she tried.

Meng was far too lost in thought to pick up anything Su Lou said.

'This light... isn't it sunlight?' Meng followed the line of light before seeing a small window on the other side of the library wall. She had only encountered sunlight once in her past life when she first ran away from her home.

At that time she didn't think much of it, however later when she started reading books, she realized that is was supposed to be one of the most amazing things in the world.

Yet, this just made her despise it because, the fact that it was treasured by others only highlighted the fact that she wasn't right.

Meng looked at the sunlight coming from the window once more before shaking her head. Everything about the outside terrified her as she didn't want to find out that she was still the same person. Someone completely disconnected from the world around her unable to see joy in anything.

'But, I have Feng Qi' she thought, erasing the negative thoughts growing in her head. As long as she had him, who cared about a little sunlight. Meng went around the sunlight, however paused when she realized Rong You was no longer in her sight.

"Master Rong?" In confusion, Meng looked around the room, but couldn't see any sign of Rong You in the clearing. Her lips twitched. Did she really just get robbed?

"I'm here!" Rong You responded. Meng looked in the direction of the voice before a crease formed in her eyebrows. It seemed like it was coming from inside the wall in front of her. Fromations?

Drawn to a red formation marking on the wall, Meng ran her hand over it, feeling the cravings underneath her palm. The amount of carvings in it were a lot more vast than the one previous one used on Ru Gu Meng's dungeon. This time she couldn't even tell what kind of formation it was.

"For the first start of you cultivation training i'll tell you that this is called a formation." A rectangular part of the wall disappeared revealing a proud looking, empty handed Rong You. A lighted hallway showed behind his back.
