Out of moves 1

Lei showed up to her customer with puffy eyes and reddish nose. she was nervous as well as she couldn't finished the whole thing.

"sorry for my late arrival Lei,did you wait long?"

"i didn't"

she let out an awkward and nervous laugh. actually she's waiting for half an hour.

"shall we order now?what do you wanna eat?it's my treat today since you've been a very good girl"

"actually there is something that..."

she choked mid sentenced.

"oh wait,before you say anything let me say what i need to say instead"

Lei nervously waited for the next words he'll spit. afraid he would open up about the novel she keep her mouth shut.

"i will be receiving a full scholarship from MMAC University and all i need to do is to continue writing and compete. what a simple way to live eh?"

she shifted on her seat. her palms are still sweating. she needs to find a way out from any topics that connects with novel.

"that's a mile away from here Jacob,would you rent an apartment there?"

she was silently praying that he would somehow change the topic.

"i don't know,but you know,living alone might be fun"

oh now she succeeded. Jacob easily forget things and now that the topic has shifted,he would talk endlessly about it,slightly bragging about himself. Jacob finally calls the waiter to order. He got himself a light meal while Lei on the other hand ordered a lot. From appetizers,to side dishes,to the main course and even dessert.

"woah,such a heavy eater Lei. good thing i brought my black card with me"

'i would really make this worth while. this might be my last meal because i've lost the last part of your novel'

she thought to her self. this guy doesn't need to worry about money anyway. Lei pick up the last meat on her plate before letting out a loud burp. the other table near them heard her and made a disgusted face,but Lei didn't care. it's as if the world revolves only with her and her food. She continue to desserts and gulp down a cup of water.

"for how many days did you starve that you gulp down a 2 day worth of meal in just one seating?"

Jacob was silently laughing,completely forgotten about the reason they meet up.

"i had to pack my self and get ready for famine"

"what?"

"anyway,i heard there's a girl in your class that keeps bothering you?"

she continues to sway him with different topics.

"yeah there is"

as usual,he took the bait. she continued with the talk until it's time for them to got home. it was nearly 8pm.

Lei lead the way outside. She even open the car door for Jacob who's now on the driver's seat. he rolled down the window.

"hey think about the offer i told you. it would be a waste if you'll not accept it. think it over ayt?"

he said reffering to their last topic before going out of the restaurant.

"yeah i would. be careful on driving okay?"

Jacob start the car and drove off. Lei wave happily on his car.

"This a** is really dumb"

she mumbled as she continues to wave goodbye. Not long,the car stop and Lei knew he remembered!

she cursed and run on the other side of the road.

"Lei,where's my novel!!"

Jacob scream angrily but to Lei it was only a faint one. she continued running left and right. until Jacob couldn't find any trace of her. Lei grab her chest as she struggle to breath. she laugh and dialed Pat's number.

"hey,sh*thead. im letting you off the hook this time. you have to pay for the damages"

"alright alright. name your price"

she thought of something she would like. then she remembered something.

"what about this month's rent payment?"

"ok,i'm on it"

her lips twitch in relief. she hang up and walk back to where she run.

"at least i wouldn't be homeless this month"

the landlady had warned her the other day because she hadn't given her the payment. now she's just happy,she have Pat who would take care of it.

"mother fvck. which way did i run earlier?!"
