1 THE BEGINNING
"Drrrng Drrrng".
The school electric bell rang loudly forcing all the students to dash out of their various classes leaving their teachers talking to the board.
"Garrick Garrick,dude common wait up me". James screamed out running after Garrick while trying to put a book in his bagpack and stumbling over cans of waste bin in the school hallway.
"Dude do you have to do this each time we come out here for launch"? Garrick said annoyingly.
"Well if you had been a better friend and remembered me,i wouldn't need to".James replied already frowning at Garrick. They both work along the school hallway heading to the school cafeteria.
Garrick and James has been very good and close friends who met in their previous school before getting admitted into Richarison high school,a school belonging to one of the wealthiest women in los vegas.
Garrick is a tall,handsome and muscular young guy with brown colored hair while James was quite the opposite of him,many people even wondered how they both became friends with so much of differences in body look.
....BACK IN THE CAFETERIA.....
"Dude have you heard?"James asked.putting down his plate of burger and cheese on the center table of the launch room,which was the table they appeared to be occupying for the day. "That what?"Garrick inquired,with his mouth full of already bitten food. "That...ouch"he replied after feeling a sharp pinch within his outer spine. "That ouch"?Garrick asked confused. Before James could respond,Rolland steered his head in between theirs as they were sitting very close to each other. "BOOM" they both jacked up in fear and behind them was Rolland smiling sheepishly at them.
Rolland was also their friend whom they met at Richarison high school and was known to be the school clown but very good looking and charming also.
"Oh jeez,and a foolish friend of mine shows up". Garrick said silently hoping no one heaed him. "Ok Garrick as i was saying....." "Wait"Rolland said interrupting again.
"What were you guy discussing,don't tell me you were both planning on a getting a new chick"He said showing interest. "Dude none of us here as old chick talk of new one"Garrick replied in confusion.
"Oh yeah,my bad"He said realizing is foolishness. "so anyway whatsup"? "Ok what i was saying is that the principal has finally approved our practical trip to guess where?" "GALAXY ZONE"He said silently to avoid being heard cos a general announcement as not been made by the authority. "Serious?"how'd you know that?Rolland inquired, "OK i over heard the"...
He was prepared to give further explanation when he was interrupted by a broad voice which could be known to belong to a man of above (50years)coming from a speaker hung above the ceiling of different angle of the caferteria.
And the voice which circulated round the room to enable general hearing to all present in the cafeteria.
"Hello Hello students,its the principal,this message is basically and specifically for the biology students of the school".
"I guess here comes the announcement from the horses mouth"James said,tapping Rolland and Garrick excitedly. "Your practical test to "GALAXY ZONE"as been approved continued the voice.
so all necessary arrangement will be taking care of by the school and all that is required of the students is to make sure to provide a strong network provider gadget to make communication easier and faster especially for emergency purposes and most importantly the trip is set to hold exactly 12pm tomorrow so get prepared and Goodluck to you all". The voice finally concluded.
Students who didn't agree with the approval became frightened. While those with agreement jubilated and threw their both hands right above the sky to show their excitement..
"Ok guys while on the trip we stay together,we should mak...." "wait"what do u mean "WE"?Rolland said interrupting. "Ofcourse am not coming"he said standing up to leave. "Are you kidding the principal clearly said biology students and ofcourse you are one,So yes you are coming"...Garrick said assuringly.
"OH yeah,that's damn true,Ok you both listen right here",He said moving close to them.
"while we are there you are both responsible for me,Garrick you represent my eyes and James you should be by me all through"Rolland said jokingly to his friends.
"yes sir"they replied simultaneously making salute to Rolland and laughing at him jokingly to his fright.
The school is over and the three friends headed partway to their various homes.....Garrick whose house was farther usually jog or stroll home while is two friends houses were opposite direction and nearer also.
.....THE NEXT DAY...
"Fifty one,fifty two,fifty three"Garrick counted from the 15mins push ups is been doing.
And also dripping sweat over is phone as he listens to music(HALO)by Rihanna.
"Baby,its almost 10.am and your trip is 12pm remember?". miss Lorena screamed out from the sitting room hoping her son heard her.
"Ok mum"Garrick grunted to reply from his pushups. "AH,think am done here".he soliloquized.
Then he headed to the bathroom getting ready for the D-DAY and standing in front of the mirror which was attached to the wall then he noticed something strange... His eyes glowed.
"What,what the hell was that?"He said examining his eyes properly.
But saw nothing then later concluded might probably be an imagination,the comb which he hung on his hair suddenly fell,he bent on his feet to reach and pick it up,then in the process of standing back up to face the mirror was a reflection of something entirely different from his own true reflection in the mirror. Before him in the mirror was a huge looking creature,with its tongue sticking out of its mouth displaying countless number of teeth and colorless slime that followed out,its eyes glowing extremely red,a scale skin and its round head with an elongated ear like that of a donkey's and a wide nose,and its claws which looks far longer than that of a werewolf,it look glaringly at Garrick like it was there on a mission to terminate him.
Garrick who stood still not knowing the next action to take stare back and contemplating either to scream or run..... But he did none of those rather stood shakily and sweating profusely in fear. . . . . .#TBC
