Chapter 191 I have to let her go

Confused, Jing Yue asked," Why?" "You and I need to talk. I need your help with something," said Jin Liwei. He took a while to say, "Our usual spot?" and Jin Liwei nodded.

"Alright then. Let's use my car," he said and they both walked to his car.

Jing Yue drove them to their private lounge and on sitting, he ordered drinks for them.

Before they could be brought, he looked at Jin Liwei and asked," Will you tell me what the problem is? Li Fei is continuously calling me."

He took a while to say,"I've lost her, Jing Yue." "What I need, is explanation," he stated.

"I don't deserve her at all," he said frustration evident in his voice as he passed his hands through his thick hair.

"When you talk of that, I don't deserve Liling either. At the end of the day, it's our feelings that matter," he said.

"It's not that Jing Yue," he raised his eyes to meet his and he recalled the words the socialite told him as he narrated, ' I wonder what you're going to do if I tell you that Li Fei has always been innocent. She wasn't responsible for killing your wife.' Unable to comprehend her words, Jin Liwei said,'You're soon losing your mind.'

She laughed and said,' The accident that happened five years ago was my own doing. During that time, she defeated me in signing an endorsement we were fighting for and it left me frustrated. She started rubbing it in my face that she was better than me. Then later, I learnt that she was coming to Shanghai with her friends on vacation to celebrate her victory. It was then that I thought of a perfect plan to end her completely without making it look suspicious. I hired men to follow her and on one night when they had gone for clubbing, they approached her car and messed with her brakes such that it could appear as though she had died in an accident.

Unfortunately, she didn't die but again luckily, she lost control over the car and ended up knocking your pregnant wife. I must admit that seeing her behind bars when she was innocent gave me great satisfaction. Literally, you were a pawn in this game and I used you to make her life a living hell,"she said. By that time, Jin Liwei was beyond shocked. He couldn't come up with any words and seeing his wretched state, she knew that she had hit the jackpot. Continuing, she said," Now, let's see how you will live peacefully with her well knowing that you made her go through all that when she was as innocent as your wife. She was also a victim, so please Mr Jin Liwei, we are no different. We both caused her pain yet she has never done anything to us.'

By the time Jin Liwei left the warehouse, his whole body was trembling. He just couldn't believe it. Sitting in his car, he didn't realize that tears were flowing from his eyes. After everything he made her go through, she was innocent. Liu Han was right. He had no right to protect her now when he was the one who hurt her the most.

After narrating everything to Jing Yue, he took a deep breath and said," I understand you and that is really bad. I don't want to say that I told you, but I did tell you, didn't I? So then, what are you going to do?" He looked away before saying," I have to let her go. I would be a hypocrite to stay next to her."

Jing Yue looked at him, not able to come up with the right words.

A long while later, he asked," And how do you intend to do that? She won't accept so easily." "I know. I'm going to make her hate me. And you're going to help me," he said and Jing Yue was caught off guard.

Just then, his phone rang and he saw that it was Liling. He picked it up," You're awake?"

"For sometime now. Why ain't you picking up Li Fei's calls?" she asked. "Ah, I wanted to pick up when I'm sure of Jin Liwei's whereabouts." "And? Have you found him?"

"Yes," he said looking at Jin Liwei who shot him a glare. "That is so great! Let me call her right now!" she exclaimed. "No, not now! He wants to surprise her. Don't call her," he said. "Ah, okay. But tell him to be quick because she's so worried," said Liling.

After hanging up, he looked at Jin Liwei and said," I think letting her go isn't the best option Jin Liwei especially if you both love each other."

"Jing Yue, how can I look her in the eyes and tell her that I love her when I sent her to prison yet she was innocent? When I paid the prison warden to make her life a living hell. She was nearly raped because of me. She was stabbed because of me and it all comes out that she was innocent all along," he took a deep breath and continued to say," As much as it hurts, I have to let her go," he cupped his face with his hands.

"And the socialite? Is she dead?" "Not yet. I still don't know what to do," he replied.

Li Fei was restlessly sitting on the bed hoping that Jing Yue calls her.

Two and a half hours had passed since she last spoke to him. Didn't he say that the place was an hour away? She realized that she had to go and look for her man herself. She wasn't going to rely on anyone.

She rushed to the bathroom to have a quick shower such that she could go and look for him.

After bathing, she wrapped her body with a towel and got another one to wipe her hair as she hurriedly left the bathroom but the moment she reached the room, she froze for a moment. Jin Liwei was present sitting on the bed and she couldn't tell how relieved she was that he was alright.

She made quick steps to him and went to stand in front of him. Dropping the towel in her hands, she bent and held the sides of his face in an attempt to check if he had any bruises. "Are you alright?! Where are you coming from?! Why didn't you come back last night?" she asked looking at him anxiously.

Not getting a reply, she said," You got me so worried." She hugged him and said," I'm so glad you're alright." She pulled away and looked at him with a frown before asking," Were you drinking?"

"Yes," he replied not meeting her gaze.

"Why? Is anything wrong?" she asked looking concerned but instead of getting a reply, he pulled her to make her sit on his lap and the towel around her body loosened.

"You got me so worried! I couldn't sleep- " He placed his finger on her lips and said," Shhhh."

He tugged her towel and made it slide down exposing her naked chest. Without warning, he shoved her onto the bed and pulled the towel off her.

His eyes darkened in desire and she watched him unbutton his shirt.

"Jin Liwei, let's first talk," she said getting up when he slowly pushed her back on the bed and said," Stay still." Her eyes narrowed at that. Although she wanted him too, she thought it was only proper if he first explains where he was last night.

When she saw him pull his pants down, she tried getting up saying," I don't want to do this, Jin Liwei. Let's first talk- " He captured her lips in a ferocious kiss and as though she struggled to get out from his grasp, his hold was firm. Before she knew it, he was taking her.

Li Fei didn't know why but something was not right about him today. The way he held her and his movements were not gentle at all. He was so rough that she was sure that she was going to have bruises on her skin.

After the session, he got off her and she watched him go to the bathroom. Getting up, Li Fei wrapped herself with a towel and she leaned against the wall. She couldn't tell what happened to him.
