The Throne welcomes you Demon…

[SEARCHING FOR SUITABLE LEGENDS…]

[CANDIDATE FOUND!]

[INITIALISING RECRUITMENT OF LEGEND...]

He found himself sinking down into an endless abyss after closing his eyes with one last look at his dead son's face. He knew it was his fault they both died, his fault that he could never tell him how much he actually cared about him. Oh how he wished to punch his past self in the face, but even then he knew he could barely accept how much he cared for the boy. He never regretted any kill he had done. Not the one hundred at the academy, nor the ones he did as an Anbu nor those as a mercenary.

Only that he could not give the boy the life he deserved, only that kill burdened him even more so in death. But while the boy may get another chance in a new life he knew he would become a real demon soon. And he would become the guardian demon of the boy in his next life no matter what obstacles may appear in front of him or how many he'll have to slay.

His last words rang inside his head as he wished to tell them the boy himself: "You were always at my side, the least I can do is to be beside you at the end. I know it cannot be, but I wish I could go to where you have gone. How I wish I could join you there, Haku."

Suddenly his eyes caught the sight of a dark blue butterfly flying by. With each beat of it's wings he could hear a chime, with all his will he followed the butterfly until his eyes landed on a dark blue door. After the butterfly flew through the door, with all his remaining will he got closer to that door to see what may await him there. Too bad he didn't have his sword any more and hopefully someone worthy of it got it now. After opening the door he found himself inside a bar with a masked man behind the counter.

"Welcome to the Velvet Throne Demon! Even in death someone recognized your unbreakable will it seems" the man greeted with a bow before setting down a small cup and a bottle of what he assumed to be sake on the counter."Take a seat and if you want listen to the proposal I have for you"

While still suspicious of the man and what he wanted with a dead man, he took a seat."Sure let's hear it but even I had the honour to never desecrate the dead so be careful or you will experience yourself why they called me demon"

"Haha let me assure you that that is something I'll never do it is beneath me." the demon nodded acknowledging "But about that proposal I talked about it may grant you some comfort for the boy. I am the caretaker of the Velvet Throne, this bar is just one small part of it, where all kinds of legends are recorded for eternity. Whether hero, villain or monster all is welcome to be recorded here and that is what I want from you, demon. I want to record your legend into this throne to be remembered even when the elemental nations cease to exist. Of course this is not without it's benefits: 1. your legend will get the chance to obtain one wish, 2. I will give you the chance to watch over the boy once again in a new life. So what do you say? Shall we sign this contract?"

With lavish gesture over the bar counter a contract appeared, but he was still lost in thought at the proposal. On one side he didn't want to be remembered by his failure on the other side he could make it right to the boy. After several moments of silence he made up his mind and signed the contract.

"Fine! But let me tell you this! You better keep your side of the contract!" he growled.

"Of course I would never brake the contract. After you through the door there will be path towards the boy but be warned it will not be an easy path to take. This path will test your will and resolve you have to be the guardian of the boy."

He stood up and as he opened the door, the man bowed with one last message for him."Welcome once again, Demon of the Hidden Mist, Zabuza Momochi!"
