Chapter 1The veiled witch

Everyone in Magicia witches School knows about the veiled little witch whose mother kept her in the tower since she was born. No one has ever seen what she looks like but all you could see was her lips not even her hair and that's if you moved close to her, you would be able to see her lips.

Everyone in Magicia ran away from her once she was allowed out of the tower since the last and only girl the little veiled witch befriended died mysteriously. She was brutally murdered by no one knows who.

On the north eastern part of Magicia's large compound stood a tower built out of black magic bricks unlike other walls in the school. A red barrier covering the whole tower was visible to everyone, warning them not to go past there.

A veiled little girl whose head was covered with a red veil was at the window. Her face was covered and the only thing anyone could see was her perfectly shaped heart lips.

The little witch sat on the only window in the room looking out at the beautiful sight of the sea. She could hear the gentle waves hitting the rock at the end of the cliff not very far for her sharp ears to pick up. The jewel blue sea was beautified by the sky which was like a perfectly hung blue silk curtains with the white clouds drifting across it slowly. The sound of the waves were soothing her and the swelling heaps of the sea and the waves rippling made her forget all her worries.

A sigh es aped her tender lips as she pointed towards a book on her shelf and it flew towards her. She opened it and took a deep breath attempting to call out a word when she heard the door to her room open and a black haired lady walked in.

"Elysia." She called.

"Yes aunt Linda?" The veiled little witch looked at the woman almost irritatedly and she stepped down from the window and her small figure stood before the tall woman who was her aunt.

"Are you done with the spells I gave to you?" Linda asked looking down at the girl, Elysia.

"Yes I have since the third day after you have it to me." Elysia replied and Linda nodded snapping her fingers and they appeared on her private training ground which was literally in the middle of nowhere.

"Show them to me." Linda frowned doubting the little Elysia's words.

As of Elysia knew she was doubting her. She made the book with her float in the air and knelt on one knee and her right hand in the floor and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes.

"Magicia Amatere Novo." Elysia said and a black pentagram appeared immediately and it was suddenly on fire.

Linda gasped as she suddenly made a thick shield to protect her from the blazing fire since her attempt to put it out was a waste.

"How did you make it so powerful?" Linda gasped as she brought up her barrier.

"You said 'when casting a spell you focus and make sure your magic flows to get it perfectly.' And i did that." Elysia snapped her fingers and the fire and pentagram disappeared.

"The magic circles?" Linda asked and Elysia rolled her eyes.

"Magicia Circulo Novo." Elysia called and magic circles appeared around them and a large one above them and fire immediately came out of them having a great impact on the ground.

"You are enhancing your spells with a spell right?" Linda frowned and Elysia rolled her eyes.

"I would have but I'm a honest little girl and I don't want any trouble when you know I was using a spell enhancing spell." Elysia replied folding her arms and the magic circles disappeared.

"Then let's see the defensive spell if you've truly mastered all the spells I gave you." Linda put down her barrier and Elysia took a defensive position and uttered the words.

"Magicia Invado Novo." A large fiery barrier appeared round both of them. The fire was so strong even Linda's magic couldn't penetrate.

"So you're already moving towards your sixth step of magic even though you are still a little girl who is seven and will soon be eight." Linda clapped. "I'm impressed."

"So does that mean you're in your fifth level that's why your magic can't go past mine?" Elysia snorted and Linda frowned.

"Magicia Novo metrous." Linda frowned and the fire went out.

"It only went out because I wanted it to." Elysia sneered grabbing her book.

"Whatever. I'm giving you the Magicia revelious Novo and the following three spells under it. You must finish it by the end of the week." Linda snapped her fingers and they were back in her room.

"I'm done with it already. I don't have any job here so I don't see why you're just giving me three or four spells to master for a week when I can master a whole spell book within a month." Elysia frowned.

"When you're done with the fire element, I can consider that." Linda smiled but Elysia could tell it wasn't a sincere smile.

"So what will I do in this tower? I am locked in this tower for three hundred and sixty days out of the three hundred and sixty five days in a year." Elysia looked at her aunt who looked at her adorably.

"It's okay little Elysia." Linda oat her veiled head and sighed. "How about we go out today?"

"It's of no use anyways. Everyone runs from me since that girl was brutally murdered by I know who." Elysia rolled her eyes and Linda squatted to her height.

"Look Elysia. No one except me and your mother can see your face. Not even yourself. She saw your face when she barged into the tower so we had no other option but that." Linda explained but the seven years old didn't listen.

She pointed her hands toward another book. "Yes it is high time you left my tower too." Elysia replied.

As soon as Linda left the tower a loud screech made Elysia look at the window where her pet owl was sitting. A smile quickly appeared on her lips as she saw him.

"Twilight. I missed you so much." Elysia rubbed the owl's twilight color feathers and it looked at her satisfied. "You've been gone for too long. You ought to be back an hour ago but you weren't."

The owl just settled comfortably and started looking at her. She felt like it was only Twilight, her pet owl that can see through this veil.

"You won't answer me?" She pointed and his beak quickly pecked her lips and she giggled. "I love you too Twilight."

He looked at her asking what she was doing so she raised her spell book and showed him the page of spell she wanted to master. "This spell and this."

Twilight flew to her elbow and took a closer look at the book before nodding slightly making her smile.

"Let me see." Elysia looked at a spell and nodded slightly before trying it out. "Magicia refelcto Novo."

A rage mirror appeared before her and she quickly moved closer. She looked at herself in the mirror wondering who was under the veil. A pretty or ugly girl.

Elysia has never seen how she looked like. The only two people who has saw her real face we're her aunt and mother and her aunt have told her. Even if she wants to take her bath. Her eyes would be covered with a barrier even her most powerful magic in the next seventy years couldn't break through. The barrier looked like it was and ancient one created by an ancient witch of the first generation. Although she could see through the veil like it wasn't there but that wasn't the same if she looked at herself.

Elysia couldn't help but always wonder why her aunt kept her in this tower and never let her go out. The day she tried to go out, the most powerful barrier she has ever countered even more than the barrier used for her eyes when she's taking her bath, blocked her way but she was sure it was a newly made barrier due to the magic circling it.

"I think it is high time I find a spell to break barriers no matter what." Elysia groaned and the mirror disappeared. "What was that mirror even used for."

Elysia walked up to her shelf of books to look for a spell book. She frowned as she couldn't find it after a lot of attempt. "Seriously where is this book? Do I have to search all the shelf before I can find it?"

Twilight flew to her and pecked her fingers making her look at him. "Oh, that's right. I have magic."

Elysia raised her hands and a book came flying towards her. Before she could stop it, it had hit her and she fell down from the stairs of her shelves. Before her back could hit the ground she was suddenly floating and she looked around. She didn't do that.

"You should be careful." Linda said settling a tray of food on her bed before going to pick her from the air. "And what are you doing with the spell countering book?"

"It is called a book filled with counter spells so why won't I need it?" Elysia snorted and Linda frowned.

"There are different counter spell books of your age there so give that to me." Linda ordered.

"Make me." Elysia sneered and Linda tried to snatch the book. "Magicia Circulo Novo." A crazy fire burned Linda's hand as she tried to take the book from her.

"You little...."

"Magicia levitus Novo." Elysia started floating away and she stopped in the middle of the room where she was sure not even Linda can get there she sat in the louts position and opened the book.

"Just don't try any nonsense Elysia. Your lunch is ready and you must eat it this time because you haven't eaten anything in two days." Linda frowned.

"I'm not eating thank you Aunt Linda." She replied from above searching for the spell she was looking for.

"If you're looking for a spell to break your mother's barrier, you're just wasting your time." Linda snorted as she walked out of the tower locking the door behind her. Elysia didn't even pay attention to her.

Twilight flew to her and sat on her laps. He too was looking at the book with so much interest before he suddenly peck the book showing Elysia he found the spell.

"Thanks boy." She smiled and looked at the spell which was about ten sentences and she furrowed her brows. "No wonder it is a high ranked witch spell book."

"Elysia."

"What is it this time aunt Linda? Don't you have something to do? You're disturbing my peace in this room." Elysia roared as Linda walked in again.

"Just hush. Your mother said you can come out of the tower today. As in right now." Linda said and the book with Elysia disappeared knowing that was her aunt's aim once she took her eyes off it. Elysia landed before Linda and picked a bread in the tray of food and finished in within a fraction of seconds.

"Whatever. Just tell your students to stop running from me."
