73 Stop Right There you Pedo Scum!

In another part of the city, a group of men was moving quickly.

In the middle of them, a silver-haired young man was advancing with a frown in his face.

It was Herald, the City Lord's son.

"How long until we reach him?" He asked.

"Five minutes, young master. Don't worry, I left two of my men watching him." One of the men replied.

Herald nodded.

When the Count learned that Delirious had separated from Brock and Marcel, he instantly sent some of his men to catch him under Herald's lead.

Herald and his father could not believe that an opportunity like this had come. They had already almost given up on getting the S-rank sword, but this opportunity fell from the sky.

But Herald was a bit nervous. He was still not sure about this operation. However, his father told him last night that none of the three were most probably not related to any known demigod nor nobles in Fordalt.

Of course, there was the possibility of him being mistaken or the three were using fake surnames, but his father was just 13-14 levels away from becoming a demigod himself. With that Sword, he had a high chance of becoming a demigod.

Truth be told, the Count's purpose about the sword was not just its capabilities but the properties in there. The mana within was so large that it would accelerate him towards Demigod level at a fast rate unless using a very rare Magic Item to consume the magic energy out of the sword.

Also, he still wants the sword because of the unknown metal it has.

Although he would antagonize an A-rank expert to get it, the Count thought that the opportunity was worth taking the risk.

While Herald was thinking about the plan in his mind, one of the people in their group stopped abruptly.

Herald was startled. He looked back only to realize that it was Stella, who strangely had turned completely pale.

"What happened?"

"My sister. I lost contact with the people guarding her. Wait a moment, I'll contact someone nearby!"

Stella grabbed a magic communication item and put mana into it, but thirty seconds later, she stumbled back in fear.

"They are dead... the people guarding Gracie are all dead, and she is not there!"

Herald wrinkled his brows. 'Damn it, at this time!'

"No, something happened to her! I must go back!" She said with an anxious look.

"Stella!"

"I'm sorry, young master, but my sister is first!" She said firmly. For some reason, she thought about the dream her sister told her a few days ago.

'The shadows...'

Stella had a bad feeling. Her instincts were warning her that she must do something before it's too late.

But when she was about to leave-

"Stella, I forbid you from leaving!" Herald ordered coldly.

Stella scowled. She looked at Herald with so much killing intent that he turned pale and took a step back.

However, he knew he could not let her go.

"Stella, you are an important part of this plan! You must stay! Besides, even if you go, how are you going to find your sister?"

Stella ignored him. She turned around and ran in the direction of her sister.

But-

"Stella, we all know about her kidnapping! If you leave, my family will stop supplying the medicines for Gracie! Now, do you want the medicine for your little sister or not?"

These words froze her in her steps.

It was one of the reasons Stella was working for the Count. Because he was the only one with the channels to supply the medicine her sister needed.

Stella could manage to get the medicine one or two months by herself, but eventually, she would mostly fail to get it. The Count, on the other hand, had the resources and means to get the medicine each month.

Seeing that Stella stopped, Herald sighed in relief. "I'm sorry Stella, but I can't let you go. However, I can send three Intermediate Realm experts to check the situation. If something truly happened to Gracie, they will manage."

Stella bit her lips. Her instincts were screaming to her that something was wrong. She badly wanted to go to find her sister. However, her reason was telling her that Herald's way was the best way.

At that moment, she recalled the dream of her sister.

'Could it be...? Yes, that is possible...'

In the end, she bit her lips and gritted her teeth.

"I understand."

"Wise choice." Herald sighed in relief and patted Stella's back. He then signaled something to three of the Rank 3 individuals in his team.

With a nod, the three men departed towards the place where Stella left Gracie.

As for Herald's group, they continued towards Delirious' location.

———

"Shine!"

The mad blue hoodie man shouted before rushing at the Gigant Basilisk, an <E-> Rank Monster that appears to be a snake-like monster with eight legs at each side of its body.

This monster's head has a huge crown-like horn and its tough skin rivals that of armor made from Mithril. Even the body fluid of this monster is equal to an instant death poison to anyone foolish enough to touch it. With characteristics and traits of both a lizard and a snake combined, the Gigant Basilisk is a giant monster measuring ten meters.

The Gigant Basilisk tries to use everything it has, such as its claws, tail, and its monstrous mouth, it also tries all of its abilities such as [Petrifying Gaze] or [Poison Toxins] on Delirious, unfortunately, it is no use as the man in the mask seemed to be immune to its petrifying ability and dodges its poison attacks with quick reflexes.

Just in mere seconds, Delirious halted his steps while carrying an RPG with Anti-tank rockets, he aimed at the giant lizard-snake hybrid before firing it.

*Boom!*

The Basilisk screeches in pain, though its scales are hard as Mithril, a magical steel hard as Titanium. The rocket that would heavily damage tanks is still able to take damage to the beast, stunning it for a few seconds, but that few seconds is enough to give Delirious the perfect opportunity to strike.

Slamming his feet onto the ground, Delirious managed to crack the ground beneath him before he moved with a whoosh, reaching the Basilisk in the next second.

Within an instant, Delirious used his Enchanted Diamond Sword and managed to decapitate the Basilisk quite easily.

The magic beast that had caused dozens of casualties had been slain by the mask man alone.

"Yo, since when I became a badass, man!" Delirious yelled in delight as he landed on the ground safely, while carrying his Enchanted Diamond Sword on his shoulder.

When he was fighting, sometimes he suddenly felt his blood boiling. Every time he slashes and kills a monster, something inside his body seems to awaken.

The blood, the screams, and the roars in the surroundings combined to create an atmosphere of danger and fear. He could see how many of the people around him fell under the fangs and claws of the monsters, and at the same time, he reaped the lives of all the beasts around him.

Many of the people that were beside him when the battle started had died. Delirious saw how the young guard that made fun of him not long ago had his head bitten by another bird. He also saw how a young mage was taken into the air by a vulture before his body was torn in two by a second vulture, both gripping his shoulders and legs at the same time before pulling him into two, spilling red juices.

Seeing such a gory scene, Delirious should've thrown up by seeing it.

However, he continued fighting. His slashes always found a target, his weapons gave him strength to defeat his enemies, and his enchanted diamond armor protected him from the monsters' attacks.

Every time an enemy's attack was stopped by his armor, Delirious could not help but think about his friends. He wondered if they were all alright and how they were doing now.

Was their situation as tough as his, or even more fun which made him a bit envious of them?

Delirious did not know, and he did not have the leisure to think about it, because the great Delirious had other important matters as the number of monsters were becoming more and more.

He could feel some very powerful auras around him. The strongest powerhouses of the city were trying to kill the A-rank monsters while the A-rank monsters killed the adventurers nearby.

More than once, Delirious felt an A-rank monster moving near him and killing people in his surroundings. But fortunately, he was never attacked, thanks to his skill [Aura of Despair], but unfortunately the A-rank monster is powerful enough to be immune to his aura, so he has no choice but to raise it to 80% of the skill's power making the A-rank monster step back and began to ignore Delirious.

"That was close."

At that moment, Delirious saw a small girl cowering nearby.

He also spotted she has cat ears on her head.

The little girl with chocolate brown hair and cat ears was squatting on the ground looking at the monsters in fear. At the same time, she was looking around as though searching for someone.

And suddenly, her eyes met Delirious.

The girl's eyes brightened.

'Gracie?' Delirious was surprised, but suddenly, one of the monsters noticed the defenseless girl.

*Screech!*

A giant hawk-type monster had appeared overhead, as it screamed in delight. Its pair of ominous eyes were glaring down on the little Neko as if to swallow hrr.

The giant hawk's wings sent a rush of wind to the earth, causing clouds of dust to rise. Its grim talons shimmered in the light of the sun, extending it and locked onto Gracie like a predator to its prey.

Gracie's face paled.

Delirious, however, was not going to allow it.

"Stop right there, you pedo scum!" Delirious shouted in a police officer tone.

With a cry, he kicked the ground. His body broke through the sound barrier for an instant, and he appeared in front of Gracie.

Delirious taking out two RPG Rocket Launchers.

"Nobody breaks the law and simps at the neko on my watch!"

"GURAAAHHH!"

The monster let out an ear-splitting roar, and its talons swooped down on the othet target, which is Delirious.

However, the sharp claws pierced into the ground. Delirious had leaped above the giant bird's head. He landed on the other side, pointing the two RPGs right at the bird's head, he fired.

*KA-BOOM!!!*

The powerful explosion turned the Hawk into bits of flesh that rained in the surroundings.

"Now you have paid your fine and it's time to send you to horny jail." Delirious said jokingly with his signature giggle.

When he turned around to scold the little cat girl, he saw a pair of eyes looking straight to him.

"Big Brother Lirious, I found you! We need to hurry up, your friends are in danger!"
