Entering a Dungeon(2)

Arriving at the front desk of the reception, Terroriser went towards a clerk on the right side of the reception desk.

After speaking with a group of adventurers, the receptionist spotted the two and spoke smiley.

"Welcome to the Guild's second floor known as the [Dungeon seekers], how may we help you?"

Terroriser answered loudly. "Ms. We are looking to enter a dungeon!"

Smiling at his reply, the receptionist took a large list out from under her desk and presented it to the two.

"These are all the available dungeons that we have at the moment." The receptionist said it to the two.

"Cool! So we can choose any dungeons we like?" Nogla admired this.

"Of course, unless you have to choose something close to your rank."

Nodding their heads, Brian looked through the tablet and he could see a large list of dungeons.

Before they decided on this mission of theirs, they've learn that dungeons are a quite unique phenomenon that appears out of nowhere, which they are kinda unpredictable on where they will appear unless you are strong enough to be sensitive of an unusual movements of mana in an area, if there is a weird movement of magic energy in one place, it could be either a dungeon appears or something else.

Nobody knows where they came from but many scholars and theorists throughout centuries were studying about this phenomenon, many of them theorized that they came from different worlds, part of that world somehow torn apart from it through dimensions then into theirs.

For the past many centuries, it's still a mystery, but it can also be a very valuable asset to gain money and a lot of cash.

That is why many Kingdoms and countless Guilds and organizations try their hardest to search any dungeons throughout the continent.

And it is also one of the reason why Terroriser and Nogla were interested on going there.

"We currently have 18 operating G-rank dungeons, 13 F-rank dungeons, 12 E-rank Dungeons, 11 D-rank dungeons, 6 C-rank dungeons, 4 B-rank dungeons, and lastly 3 A-rank dungeons. Which one would you like?"

Seeing the endless amount of dungeons available, the two were left speechless.

"Dear Lord, that is a whole lot of dungeons you guys kept." Nogla couldn't hold another surprise reaction.

"Fuck it, lets choose the F-ranks first."

Taking the tablet, Terrorsier quickly went through the list for F-rank dungeons.

'Hmm... what should I choose?'

Seeing the list of F-ranked dungeons, Brian monetarily paused to think about which one to choose out of all of them.

[Sea of Blood] was out of the question as they didn't bring any waterproof equipment with them, and he feared he might get affected by water because of being half machine.

[Miasma Mountains] was simply too dangerous, Terroriser is completely immune to any poison, except for Nogla as he didn't have any.poison resistance potions with him.

[Forest of greed] had a 17% clause, where the hell did you have to pay 17% of all profits gained from the dungeon? That was a tad bit too high for his standards.

So that was also out of the question.

This leaves me with [Earth's Wrath], [Forever Falls], and [Running Ruins]

Looking alternatively at the three options before him, after contemplating for a while Brian decided to go with [Forever Falls].

It had the lowest contractor clause of 11% and the food and water shortage should pose no problem to him and Nogla who has a shocking amount of food in his inventory, mostly potatoes, but Terroriser on the other hand doesn't need to eat or drink anything as he is part machine.

"Me and my friend liked to go with [Forever Falls]."

"Very well, here's a contract you will need to sign before we can finalize our deal."

Handing them an eight-page long contract, Terroriser sighs in frustration.

'Fuck, no matter what world it is, there could be another Google to sign in, you either take the offer immediately, or waste your time reading the terms and conditions.'

"Fuck it." Without giving a shit, Brian looked through the long contents.

So some of these contents say before entering a dungeon they will check the equipment that the two will bring inside so that no misunderstandings can arise when they exit the dungeon and report their gains.

When exiting a dungeon the staff will do a strict check on the items and things Brian and Nogla will bring out so that no false reports were made when paying the contractor clause.

A €500 entrance fee was to be paid upfront, accompanied by a €1000  deposit.

The maximum time a person could stay inside of a dungeon was 30 days.

If the person did not come out by the designated time, a specialized squad will directly enter the dungeon and forcefully drag you out.

Lastly, the contractor could, in case of emergencies, call for a support team that will come as soon as possible to aid them if they were in any danger.

The result of calling a support team resulted in the loss of the deposit.

Seeing the content, Brian sighs as he finally reads the whole damn thing and then signs it.

"Thank you very much." The receptionist said with a smile as she took the paper and they finalized the payment.

"Please follow me."

After Brian paid a total of €1000, deposit + entrance fee, the two were escorted to a large waiting room.

[Guest 6988775 — Gate 647]

[Guest 6988776 — Gate 647]

Looking at the piece of paper that Brian and Nogla had received once Terroriser completed the payment, he neatly folded it and placed it in his Inventory.

This was their dungeon ticket, better not lose it.

Inside the room, there were more than a dozen individuals, who just like the two, were waiting to enter the dungeon.

Meanwhile Nogla, couldn't help but feel something familiar about this.

'Nah, can't remember...'

Several waiters were walking and serving food and drinks to the people present inside of the waiting room.

Glancing around for a couple of seconds, the two went towards a secluded area that had fewer people and sat down.

Well, if they say they are very confident of them entering a dungeon, that will be a big fat lie.

The two have been talking about it for the past few days and they agree they shouldn't become arrogant. Like the others had said, this isn't a video game like they had always played 24/7.

Facing the dungeon, which literally none of them had never been to before, they shoulda never let any of their guards down.

No matter how well things were going for them, a slight mistake could cost some of their lives.

One example is when Nogla nearly got eaten by a sentient Chest back in the Goblin's real life sex dungeon.

Still, arrogance was the best recipe for failure.

When going inside of a dungeon, where there was a high mortality rate, one must not go in there thinking that everything would be alright and no danger would befall them.

That was not called confidence, it was called stupidity.

In the face of potential danger, one must humble themselves and make sure to give it their all so that one doesn't get caught off-guard.

"Guests 6988775 and 6988776 please step forward."

Hearing their numbers, Terroriser and Nogla stood up and went towards the person who called for their names.

Wearing a nice black butler outfit, like most of the male employees working here, the man led them towards a large door.

*Shaaaa!*

Just before the two entered the door, the employee then proceeded to place his hand on a metal plate on the wall and channel his signature mana into it.

*Klang!*

After a brief pause, the door opened by itself allowing Brian and Nogla to see what was behind it.

"Dear God!"

"Damn, this world's technology is sick as hell!"

The two were instantly left speechless, so overwhelmed by the scenery before them that no word escaped from their mouth.

An enormous hall, that extended so far that they couldn't even catch sight of the other side, was before them.

Keep in mind that their stats, compared to before, were much better, which meant their vision drastically improved alongside their stat improvement, and yet none of them still couldn't see the ending of this place, even Terroriser who has some kind of advanced cyberpunk eyes couldn't see the end of it as well!

'Just how enormous this place was!?'

Moreover, that wasn't what left them flabbergasted. It was the fact that in the hall there were warp gates everywhere!

Explained by the butler to their side, a warp gate was a teleportation device powered by Spatial Magic that allowed a person to teleport to a given coordinate.

It was similar to a dungeon gate, but unlike dungeon gates, where the location was fixed, a warp gate coordinates could be changed.

Walking around, and seeing the towering warp gates that were as tall as a house, the two felt like an ant.

Besides the gates, there were white-clothed individuals with masks that covered their whole faces. Their masks reminded Brian and Nogla of the 'Black Panther' back in their previous world. But compared to his black mask theirs was white.

After walking for 10 minutes, the two were finally able to see their designated gate.

"Oh hey, Odbudd!"

Standing in front of the gate, a dark middle-aged man who had a cigarette in his mouth waved towards the person escorting the two.

His long hair which was tied in a ponytail, and his short untrimmed beard made him look like an unemployed adult who was in the middle of his mid-life crisis.

"Yes."

Giving a simple nod to the middle-aged man, the man who escorted Brian and Nogla here, Odbudd, turned around and prepared to leave.

"As quiet as usual huh?"

Seeing the butler leave with no response, the middle-aged man gave up and looked at the two and asked.

"So you're the little wimps who want to enter the dungeon?"

Nogla nodded "Yes."

"Hey man, can I have one of your cigarettes?" Terroriser asked, pointing his finger on the cigarette on his mouth.

"... no."

*pch*

Throwing the cigarette on the ground, the middle-aged man stepped on it.

"Ain't giving you shit, playboy, shut up and follow me."

Walking with his hands in his pockets, the middle-aged man walked towards the gate leaving the frowning Terroriser.

"Rude." Brian muttered.

Following the middle aged man, the man made it in front of the warp gate with two white individuals guarding it.

"Sigma, Ligma, got a bunch of F-rank Adventurers here, so open the goddamn gate." The middle aged man demanded the two quiet figures.

"..."

"..."

"Ah fine!"

Taking out a card from his pocket, the middle-aged man handed it to the two people in white clothes who were blocking the gate.

Taking out a small box, one of the white guards swiped the card, and when the box flashes green he stepped to the side.

"Bye Sigma, bye Ligma, don't miss me too much while I'm gone." Waving at two white guards, the middle-aged man stepped into the gate and beckoned the two to follow.

Stepping on the gate, the middle-aged man took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it up.

Looking at the two men, who were confused, the middle-aged man spoke with a grin.

"Don't worry they're always like this. They're just shy."

"Uh, sure." Terroriser nodded, still not happy about earlier.

"I'm pretty sure Sigma and 'Ligma Balls' there were not technically shy. They just didn't want to talk to you." Nogla said that before winking at Brian with a small grin.

"The fuck you just said?" The middle aged man looks at Nogla with a large amount of magic aura that grows larger as the pressure around them intensifies.

"Nothing, nothing." Nogla innocently replied.

Thankfully, the warp gate soon activates, as the warp gate lit up, everyone slowly lifted up from the ground. Then one by one their bodies turned into particles and shortly after started losing all their senses.

*Vuam!*
