2 Chapter 2

Vale heard a chain fall and the nails which transfixed the vampire to the wall were slowly pulled out. At the same time, the chains that were wrapped around the vampire's body loosened.

"I did as you asked, so please don't try and kill me." Vale said with a wary look, however the vampire didn't respond.

"You... freed... me..." Vale nodded an the vampire continued it's words.

"I dedicate... myself... to you..." Hearing the vampire, Vale winced.

"I think love shouldn't be forced. There's lots of people in the world, so go find your soul mate." Vale said with a wary smile.

'Damn, if it remains looking like that, I wouldn't even want it to follow me anyway.'

As if it could tell what he was thinking, the vampire's lip curled upwards, however Vale didn't notice the change.

"Okay, your free, so what do I do now? Are you good leaving by yourself?" Vale smiled as he grabbed the rope to begin climbing, but along with a gust of chilly wind, a cold and bony hand grabbed his wrist.

"Fuck!" Vale couldn't resist at all and groaned as the vampire lifted his arm and pinned him against the wall.

"You... are... mine... from... now... onwards..." As if he heard the most terrifying thing in his life, Vale started to sweat.

"Um, I'm sure you're a wonderful person and all, but love shouldn't be forced or anythin-" Before he could continue, the rotting face drew near.

'Fuck me! Is my virgin kiss about to be stolen away by a freaking corpse?!' Vale wanted to die immediately as he closed his eyes.

However, the contact never came, instead he felt a slightly cold breath on his neck and then a tinge of pain.

His eyes opened and he saw the corpse's head a few centimeters away from his own.

The thinning and brittle gray hair scratched against his face uncomfortably, and at the same time, the tinge of pain turned into a constant feeling of pleasure.

From time to time, he heard the vampire gulp down his blood, and despite getting lightheaded, Vale felt a strange warmth spreading from his neck.

A sudden burst of cold made his body shiver, and the feeling of pleasure quickly turned into a piercing pain.

"You said... you wouldn't... kill me!" Vale half yelled, however the vampire remained silent.

"I granted your wish, now survive my beloved. I hope you don't perish." Vale heard a voice that was a far cry from the hoarse deathly sounding voice the vampire made before.

The voice was still a bit hoarse, however it possessed a musical quality that Vale hadn't heard before.

"As I said, I dedicate myself to you..." Vale no longer felt coarse hair against his cheek, instead it was silky soft and golden.

Vale nearly fell to the floor, but he vampire steadied him and scooped him into their arms.

"You had the courage to release me, so I shall believe in you." Vale eyes darkened and for a moment, he saw a face so beautiful it was unforgettable.

...

Vale felt a breeze blow past him and his eyes trembled slightly and then opened.

The cave he was in was brightly lit, and his ears could pick up the faint sounds of his bones grinding together as he sat up in confusion.

"What ha-" His voice made him freeze in shock.

It was richer and smoother than it had been before, and before he could notice his other changes, he saw a figure walking over to him.

"You didn't die." The phrase was short, however he could somehow feel the worry in their voice.

His eyes landed on their figure and he froze in disbelief.
