6 The Brat Who Wanted Power

"Dr. Brischt, how's the preparation going?" General Johanssen entered the mutating room that startled the poor doctor who's too focused at that time.

"Holy Cow! General!" Unintentionally he bolted out.

"Did I scare you Doctor?"

"Ahem, General the preparation are all set. I just need to extract blood from the "volunteers" later."

"That's good, I've heard someone from Russia will arrive today. General Nushka must be so eager to start the project."

"Well, we are fully prepared for it General."

General Johanssen has been in the facility since the Ara from India arrived. The other Generals are busy looking for the perfect candidate to set as their country's representative yet he prefers to watch closely on the preparation to the upcoming execution of the project. To be more precise, he wants his candidate to be of perfection rather than a flaw.

Back to the Chinese military headquarters, Li Ying is in full recovery. The doctors told her that her body is now in full strength and she can leave anytime soon. General Yang heard about it and went to Li Ying to try and converse with her. The General haven't heard anything yet from her. She kept silent and just waited for the right time to talk. Every now and then when no one's around, she would sneak up and steal a random person's phone and contact Dragon Claw. She already knew what's she's gonna bump unto if she tries to escape. She'll be playing the waiting game and let the General layout his plan on his own.

"Good thing your body's fully recovered Miss Ying." He smiles trying to smoothen the uneasiness of the woman. She only nodded and looks around. General Yang then signals the others to give them both some privacy. The others leave the room and Li Ying lets out a big sigh.

"What are you up to?" She blurted out bluntly.

"I know you've been digging informations right now on your own or with the help of an outsider. Either way I would like to make a deal."

"My guts tells me it's something to benefit you."

"Not just for me but also for you. As of now, a few capable programmers traced down your network and currently hunting down someone called Dragon Claw."

"This isn't a fair deal! How can I benefit from that?"

"Calm down Miss Ying, I can help you friend. You know, hacking down governments system has always been a problem these days. With you and your friend on-board, the security will be at its finest."

"I still don't get it. All of these has nothing to do with me."

"Perhaps, revenge of a broken heart Miss Ying? How does it sound like?"

"You... you really did your homework. Honestly, I don't even care what happens to me now. I already gave up on life the moment that man cheated on me."

"As they say, the smartest people are the dumbest in love."

"I never heard of that." Li Ying looks down tearing up upon remembering how the man she offered everything cheated on her.

"I'll leave you alone for now and take this as a yes to our deal. Full details will be send out once you arrived at your destination. Best of luck." General Yang leaves the room and contacted Dr. Brischt from the facility, informing his candidates future arrival. Upon hearing the news, Dr. Brischt can't seem to believe that everything his been working on will finally be implemented. Seems his reign starts to conquer everyone who looks down on him.

*United Kingdom

A country where royals still live in a palace, where king and queens still exist. Everyone treats them well, everything they wanted they can have it. With this titles also come responsibilities, royal rules and standards. One princess, so arrogant and rude. She won't even follow rules nor mind her manners. All she does is to satisfy herself from everything she wants. When she said everything, literally everything.

She spends money like there's no tomorrow. Buy things that she doesn't even need in the first place. Luxurious cars and bags, room full of clothes and  another room for high-end shoes. Everyone befriends her, but doesn't really like her. They just don't wanna be on her bad side. This princess wanted all attention for herself, if her parents won't give her much, she then starts a scandal and put the royal family to shame. All these actions made her the black sheep of all the royal family.

General Prius is set to have an audience with the royal family for the upcoming charity event the queen would like to personally host. She's quite old already and she wants to host the event for the last time before she take more time to relax. All security measures are to be instructed by the general. No one knows that this meeting would end up to be the easiest task for the general.

"Welcome to the Royal Palace General Prius. The King and Queen are on the study waiting for your arrival." Greeted the butler.

"Thank you, I'll be going there now." General Prius head to the study to meet with the royal highness. On his way there he bumped into the running princess, by the looks of it she's escaping the royal guards. The princess then pushed General Prius towards the chasing guards and run away.

"General are you okay?"

"I am alright, go after her before the queen gets a news about her escaping again." Everyday the princess would escape the palace and go to bars and clubs, getting drunk and going home late. A princess of royalty that you couldn't even imagine really exist. General Prius went inside the study and greeted the king and queen. They talked for quite sometime and tackle about the total security for the upcoming event. After solidifying the plans for the event, the general then bid his goodbye.

On his way out, he was offered for some tea from the princess that pushed him away a while ago. He find it quite interesting for the princess to act in that manner. But he's totally prepared if it's a prank from the princess. She had a reputation for that as well. He went to the garden and saw a nice bunch of snacks and a tea set. The princess was there sitting while drinking some tea.

"General don't just stand there, come sit somewhere you feel comfortable. No worries, no pranks today I'm not in the mood for any of it now."

"That's something new. What makes the ruthless princess seize fire today?"

"Nah, I'm not feeling well today. Everything's not even as exciting as before. I'm getting bored."

"Makes sense, you've been doing the same thing over and over again."

"General, can I join the army?" She said in an expressionless manner.

"If you bluffing I'm not buying it."

"Wait, well if I say I wanna join the army!" Her tones changed into excitement.

"There's a way, and I guess you'll like it very much. It will keep you entertained for the rest of your life."

"Really, then what is it? Anything, I will be obedient just take me away from this boring place."

"The question is, will you be able to pass it?"

"General, I maybe the most well-known Princess Sofie. Behind this dress is a fighter. So don't underestimate me."

"I see, so Princess Sofie. Do you believe in vampires?" General Prius looked her in the eyes, seriously staring at her.

"Pfffttt~ what nonsense is tha-----" looking from the General's manners, he seemed serious. Princess Sofie sits back and her bloods racing all over her veins. She felt excitement and a bit of nervousness all at the same time.

"I'll tell you the full detail of our current project, just if your very eager to participate it willingly."

"General Prius, are you saying I can be a vampire?"

"I'm not saying anything about such. I'm just asking if you believe in vampires. Thanks for the tea Princess I'm going now." General Prius was about to turn his back when Princess Sofie stops him, making by him sit down again.

"General, I'm very well prepared for everything. A new life would be fun but more specially, when I truly can become a vampire, life wouldn't be boring anymore. And a new sense of power can be grasp by being one. So now tell me, what's this all about vampire?"

"You're making my search a lot easier. You see, I'm currently looking for a candidate that would be fit enough to surpass all trials and all the procedures."

"You said it yourself, I assure you I am a perfect candidate. I am physically fit and also, being willing to undergo such extent to gain power makes an advantage right?"

"You sure to get it pretty well. Yes, it will be advantageous for us both if your willing to undergo such trivial procedures. But if you die, I won't be held responsible for your death."

"I don't mind. I know I can handle it. What's all those training I went for secretly, I'm gonna put them on good use by then."

"Never thought a princess would volunteer to such dangerous acts just to gain more power. But before it gets all into your head, one things you need to know. Whatever the outcome, you will work under me and no one else. Do you understand?"

"What's this now? I'm able to gain power yet wil be stuck following your set if rules."

"Don't you find it a challenge? With your current behavior, you'll get weary and get bored as soon as you're able to get what you seek. Let's just say, my instructions will keep you at bay and excitement won't go down."

"Sounds very delighting. I'm on board General. When are we leaving?"

"As soon as you want. Full details will be discussed once we arrived at the facility."

"Okay, how about my parents?"

"I can handle them, go take sometime to enjoy the palace, we will leave once your tired of this place. When I know, it's gonna be just for a few minutes anyways."

"You got me. See you soon General."

General Prius requested for an audience with Princess Sofie's parents. How he will handle Sofie's case is up to him. It's better to make and alibi for her than to find someone as a candidate. Princess Sofie's eagerness makes it easy for him to discuss all the matters with the project openly. The rest of the process will be up to her and Dr. Brischt.
