13 Knowing What We Are

As the facility turned out to be a dead place, all six gathered up to discuss what their next move will be. But before that, they found out that the bodies that they drank blood from decays into ashes after a few minutes. Tyler being a genuis since a child takes notes of everything that's happening. Every single detail big or small are tend to serve its purpose.

"Slacovich, it turns out that the bodies turns to ashes in exactly 7 min and 32 sec. All we have to do is just blow them away. Also, our bodies are more powerful than before." Tyler said while he take notes on his binder.

"I can see that. Do you know how long it needs before we need another set of blood?" Slacovich studies the chart that the doctors left on the monitoring room.

"We're all full right now, well I am full. I don't know about you guys. I wanna know how many preys each of you had. I can make an estimate."

"Estimate? Won't you be able to accurately calculate everything?"

"No. All of us have different body structures. The necessity of blood differs for all of us. But I think I can manage to study the formula Dr. Brischt uses when he injects us with the vampire serum. That will take time though coz now that we're vampires our bodies changed a lot. I'm gonna go back to square one. Also if the rest of you tell me the exact amount of blood source you had a while ago and any signs of blood cravings that will help a lot. We need to figure this one out before we head out." Tyler signals them to sit down. All of them obeyed. As for Diego, seems like he's having trouble controlling his strength and ended up destroying the chair. Not only him, but the others are still coping up with themselves.

"I'm gonna start it. I had, 1,2,3,4-19. I-I killed 19 people just by sucking their blood out. Now that I think about it, i-it makes me shiver." Just by remembering the taste of blood and its scent, Ara clenched her fists then her eyes turns red as her fangs slowly showing up.

"Ara you need to calm down. Wait a minute." Tyler hurried to her side. "Are you still hungry?"

"I don't know. I don't think I'm gonna be full. I always wanna want a taste of it every now and then." She calms down as Tyler caresses her back.

"This is gonna be difficult to comprehend." Tyler starts charting up Ara's infos and head to the next one.

"Sofie how about you?"

"Well, I only had 12. And I'm feeling absolutely disgusted right now like I wanna vomit. I am totally full. It may take a while before I crave for blood again." Sofie's truly disgusted by the fact the she's sucking out blood. The thought of it makes her creep out.

"Diego how about you?"

"I've had 23. And I'm full thank you." He tried putting back the chair by bending the metals over to support him.

"Li how many did you take?"

"Well, it's 11. Also I'm feeling so full. Like Sofie I don't think I'll crave for blood for a while too " she's opening a laptop and extracting important files of the facility.

"So Slacovich, your turn."

"16. I'm also good." Slacovich moves beside Li to check out the files she's extracting.

"Just to inform you all. I only have 3. I don't feel hungry at all. Seems like my weak body as a human affects my appetite. But for Ara's case, seems like she's always craving for blood up till now. We can't let her roam around the mainland in her current state." Ara seemed disappointed by the news. Tyler assures her that he'll find a way to help her out.

"Wait, did we really take down every single person in the facility?" Sofie asked as she joins Slacovich and Li.

"I can check that out. Wait for a moment." Li scrolls down on the files and searched for the list of personnel inside the facility. "Here it is. There are 50 securities, 6 generals, 30 doctors. 86 people here in total." She showed everyone the list on the laptop.

"86? But I only counted 84. That means there are 2 more people in here. But I can't smell anyone from here." Tyler stands up and checks the security room for possible hiding place that the cctvs might capture but failed.

"The other one escaped as we went berserk on the others." Slacovich smirks as he remembered how he just let Dr. Spencer escape that very moment.

"How can that be? You saw someone escaping yet allowed him to escape." Sofie glares at Slacovich waiting for an answer.

"Dr. Spencer, she escaped while I was heading for the viewing room. I just saw her occupying a submarine from a monitor screen." He knows he can make his way there if he wanted to yet he prefer chasing her out there foe a challenge.

"I don't know what you're up to Slaco. I'll make sure I'm the one hunting her down when we head out to wipe off everyone that knows our existence." Sofie walks out of the room angrily.

"There's still one person left. We must search for the remaining one. I'm sure that person's still inside the facility." Ara excitedly heads out of the room to begin the search.

"Looks like she won't let that person live." Tyler followed her and then the others as well. But Slacovich chooses to follow Sofie instead.

All four searched every corner of the facility and ended up gathering in front of a heavily sealed room. A door secured with fingerprint and code. The code's pretty easy to hack down for Li but the fingerprint, its gonna be tough for all the bodies turned into ashes. Ara's craving for blood makes her impatient and kicked off the metal door with all her might but it's too much for her to take down. Diego steps in and repeatedly kicked the door and finally its rip off from the walls. Inside the room is the trembleng doctor, the moment he heard someone trying to break down the door he knows he's gonna die. Ara immediately grab him and ready to bite off when something that he said made her stop.

"I CAN HELP YOU!" Dr. Harry blurted out with all his might. He's shaking in fear. Ara looks at Tyler which seems to be curious about what the doctor's gonna say. She put him down and kept her distance befor she can't control herself.

"Do you think we need help?" Tyler bluffed.

"Yes, please don't hurt me. I am a doctor and I am assigned to you during the mutation. Please listen to me first, you can suck my blood after and kill me if you want."

"Make sure it's important. As we are now, we are more powerful than you are. Your inferior and one wrong word we're gonna dry your blood out of your body. Every bit of it." Tyler glared at him.

"I know. Your friend 005, something went wrong during the process." Dr. Harry points Ara.

"What do you mean?" Tyler's attention is fully focused on Dr. Harry.

"During the initiation of phase two, the serum which is supposed to be for Ara was injected to you. That's why you had a cardiac arrest. As for Ara, the serum inside her body wasn't perfectly blended in her blood. Have you ever noticed any difference between the others and her?"

"She always seemed to be craving for blood."

"That's a side effect of the serum. The amount of serum inside your bodies were accurately prepared according to your body structures."

"How come our vials got switched?" Tyler pushes him to the wall.

"H-Hear me out. Even I have no idea. The vial I took was labeled with your code. There's no way I'm gonna let any mistake to happen during the process. When you had a cardiac arrest, I began to doubt something's off. Good thing Dr. Brischt knows what to do and was prepared if something like that happens. He was right all along. Someone's trying to sabotage the mutation but it turns out it back fired."

"Sabotage? What's your thought about this?"

"Dr. Spencer, since she came to the facility, Dr. Brischt starts doubting her the very moment she stepped in. Her presence in the facility was suspicious enough when all preparations are done before she even arrived. Someone big is backing her up for sure. If----" Dr. Harry lost for words when he thinks of a possible conclusion for her actions.

"If what?"

"She's the one who proposes the name bioweapons. When originally Dr. Brischt will call his project Vampire Agents and not Bio-Weapons. If she succeeded on sabotaging the mutation process, you and Ara would have been failures and will be burned to death. While the others will be implanted with chips that will make you follow her every command."

"That bitch! She escaped when all of us were rampaging the facility!" Tyler punched the wall really hard to relieve his anger and left a broken mark in there.

"Please tell me that the last vial is still here in the facility." Dr. Harry stands straight waiting for an answer.

"What vial?"

"There are 7 vials of serum that Dr. Brischt prepared. The last one is still full and unused. Please let me check if the vial's still there. I need to know or the world will be doomed if she has it." Dr. Harry runs towards Dr. Brischt's room. Tyler and the others just followed him. When he reached Dr. Brischt's room he head straight to the vault that's already been open. The last vial was taken.

"This is bad. Pretty bad." Dr. Harry burries his face on his palm as he foresee the possibility of the serum being misused.

Tyler and the others takes Dr. Harry to the viewing room and called Slacovich and Sofie. He told the two about the problem that might come if the serum isn't taken back. Aside from a total chaos, widerange massacre and abuse of authority. The very existence of humanity is at stake.
