"Now Mill," he said when she was carefully seated. "Do tell me what you and Danag were talking about. Depending on what I hear, I might be forgiving."

Mill cleared her throat as she opened her mouth to speak. For obvious reasons, it was really hard to talk. She took a deep breath and tried to recount the details as best as she could.

However, she wasn't sure if she should only respond to the questions she was being asked or if she should tell the King from the very beginning. She decided to go with just answering questions. She didn't want to piss His Grace any further by saying unnecessary things.

"He wanted to thank me and let me know you asked him to get a carriage ready in three days," Mill mumbled.

"Carriage?" Kieran asked.

"Yes," he replied.

"Oh, why?" Kieran looked absolutely confused as he stared from one vampire to another.

"Mauve wants to leave," his Grace said with a straight face. He did not look in Kieran's direction.
