14 Vanished!

"H... how do you know all this? Who are you and who was she whom I met? If you know so much then you must be knowing everything. Tell me! Please tell me." Marc came a step closer to him looking at her with questioning eyes.

The lady looked at Marc and smirked a bit. "My dear boy, I cannot tell you this. I don't want to risk my life by revealing there world. All I can do is, to warn you. Go away! I know you like her already! But... Go away. She will haunt you in your dreams, she will call you back each day but you have to be strong. If you want to live, run away. Or just end up dead like your parents." The lady looked intently at him.

"Y... you mean my parents took the wrong decisions?" Marc frowned a bit, trying to understand the lady.

"Yes and not just wrong but a very dangerous path which nobody dares ever. But they did and they were paid for it. Run my boy! Run!" The lady once again jerked Marc backwards, this time with so much force that he fell down on his back.

"Why are you pushing me?" Marc shouted as he hit his head on the ground. Suddenly a giagntic whirpool of dust encircled him and he closed his eyes, preventing the dust to enter his eyes.

"Arghhh!!! My eyes!" He covered his face with his hands but in another second, the whirlpool had vanished. Marc opened his eyes to look at the lady, but she was no longer standing there. He looked all around him but the lady was no where to be spotted.

It was a barren land and Marc could see crearly in all directions but to his surprise the lady had simply vanished! "Huh?? Where did she go? She was too old to run away like that... what is happening today!!!?? Can anybody tell me!!!" Marc screamed out loud and banged his palm on the ground in much frustration.

Just when he was already confused about the incident in forest another lady had come to him and warned him to leave Hellwood. Marc finally stood up on his feet, dusting off his already blood stained clothes. "How can I leave this city? I am poor and I just have my parent's home to live in. Probably the only asset I have in my life. Shall I live on road, after leaving this city?" Marc nodded his head in utter frustration and yet again started walking towards his home.

"Maybe she is sick and needs help. But... but what she said was true. Nobody liked me in school and now nobody hires me for work. I have no means of earning as well. If it had not been my parent's other house's rent, I would have died hungry!" Marc sighed as he constantly grumbled while walking on the busy street now.

As soon as he entered the street, several heads as usual turned to look at him. Marc was used to getting such random and fearful stares from people since he was five years old and now in these twenty years, he had learnt how to ignore them.

He had tried asking people, why they stared at him like that, but people always preferred to run away from him. Now, today he was also dressed in shabby and dirty clothes, which had several blood stains on them. As soon as he entered the street he heard several shocking gasps and several people ran in different directions, away from him.

Marc sighed as he walked on a bricked street, where several sellers were selling vegetables, fruits and other items. He spotted a bunch of fresh cherry's on a table, being sold by a kiddle aged man and he walked upto him.

"How much for these cherries?" Marc spoke casually, trying to avoid other people's stares. Most of the people had already paced away looking at Marc approaching the vendor.

"Umm... just take this and... go away. You are scaring everybody away. Take and leave!" The vendor shouted rudely at Mark and handed over a giant bunch of fresh cherries to him.

Marc frowned and was about to take out a few coins from his pocket when the vendor took a few steps back, looking at his blood stained hands. "Leave! I don't want your money. Go away!"
