9 Not so beautiful

Don't underestimate the allure of darkness.

Even the purest hearts are drawn to it.

..... .

The liquid was thick and bubbling already, and it smelled a little grotesque to Marc.

"What is this exactly?" The boy frowned in confusion and looked at the bizzare looking fluid.

"Oh, this!" The girl was startled for a few seconds and turned to look at the boy. "This... this is soup. I have added some magical herbs in it, so that it increases the strength in you.... your body." The girl spoke a little hesitantly as her hands yet stirred the thick liquid, with a large metallic spoon.

The boy scowled a bit as he noticed how the girl was pretending to act normel and nice. "Hmm... I see. Why does this look like blood to me? Are you feeding me blood?" The boy made a terrified face, as the smell was getting more pungent and hard to tolerate.

"Huh? Why would I feed you blood?" The girl smirked a bit and was now constantly gazing at the potion brewing on the fire, as if she had fallen in love with it. She looked at the brewing soup as if it was the most precious thing in her life.

Marc took back a few steps in hesitation as the enthralling girl, suddenly did not look so beautiful to her. It was not that her appearance had changed, but her face had no longer those soft and delicate smile. She was constantly grinning widely and looking at the potion lovingly and her head titled a bit. Her hair had covered half of her face, as her eyes were now shining bright with the impact of fire.

"Y... You... who ever you are.. I don't want to drink this blood.. or what ever it is that you are trying to give me." Marc took a few more steps back in nervouseness, as her heart raced looking at the girl.

"Why do you think, I will harm you? Huh?" The girl gave a wide smile and finally turned to look at him. Her smile was getting wider and wider as she looked in his eyes, directly. Half of her face was yet covered with her long and straight hair, while she looked at the boy with her big fawn eyes. She was yet holding the drenched spoon in her hand, making the red liquid to fall all over her feet.

The girl's face was no longer shining from the fire's glare, but yet it was extremely glowy and striking. "You... you are not normal. You are a trap due to your beauty. T... there is something more about you." Marc stepped out of the kitchen rapidly, still looking at her face in much panic.

Lisa smirked and then picked up a small drinking bowl from a mud shelf nearby. She then poured the red colored boiling thick liquid in the bowl and sipped it quickly with her mouth. "SLIRPPPP!!"

"SLIRPPPPPP!!"

"SLIRPPPPPP!!"

"Ummm... It tastes just perfect as always." She poured some more liquid in the bowl and turned to look at Marc. "Here, try some. You will love it"

Lisa held out her arm and smiled at him widely. Her lips and chin were now smudged with red thick liquid and as she smiled, her red stained lips, were now shining brightly under the firelight.

"Arghhh!! Noooo!!! Stay away from me!!!" Marc rushed backwards yet looking at Lisa in much fear. He was about to turn and run away when suddenly his foot got stuck in a thick fur carpet and he stumbled right on top of it.

He had not noticed the carpet earlier, but now he was lying down on his stomach right on top of it. He quickly lifted his head and saw a similar fierce looking head of the creature at edge of carpet, who was earlier following him.

"This rug is made with the skin of the same creature?" Marc gasped in shock as he looked at the protruding head of the carpet. It was the head of the wolf and was stinking of some fluid, as if sprayed to preserve it. It had big long teeth and its ferocious eyes were wide open, as if looking at Marc.

"Of course. I love these things. They make my house look more beautiful." Lisa smirked, while drinking some more fluid with both her hands. The fluid dropped a bit on her clothes and chin and she again smiled looking at Marc.

....

Going so soon?

I would not hear of it.

Why, my little party's just beginning!"
